I dont like the hinged cuffs. Its too difficult to speed cuff.

I prefer Peerless to Smith and Wesson because I find them to operate smoother and the double locking mechanism is easier to access.

You can use these just as fast as other chained cuffs if you train yourself to work with them. PPCT baby!

Peerless cuffs are a brand of poor quality. I have had at least two sets which had their teeth break off. Would not recommend these cuffs, though their action is smooth and concept is nice. The metal is cheap!

I have carried the same pair of 301’s for 9 years and have never had any problems even with dragging uncooperative inmates.

I have two pair of these cuffs that I carry on my duty belt along with a pair of Smith and Wesson M100's. I have went to the Peerless because I had two different Offenders at different times break my S & W Hinged Cuffs. Both were broke at the links between the individual cuffs. I have carried the Peerless for the last 6 years and have not had any problems with either pair. I do have to carry the S & W M100's for the occasional small framed individuals.

I haven't had a problem with hinged handcuffs, training is the key.

These are wonderful for "encouraging" your guest to do what you want them to!

In my short time with the department, i've been issued 3 sets of Peerless handcuffs. The teeth break/become worn easily, the double lock mechanism has frozen on me once, and two sets of cuffs have had to be cut off of offenders after the ratchet springs would not release. I know alot of people swear by these, but in my experience having to restrain 10-15 offenders or more per day, these wear out VERY quickly. I use my S&W's much more and they still work as reliably as the day I purchased them (almost 10 years ago).

Smith and Wesson is better- also these are nice but if you get a guy that is big you will need another pair- the links are to close together. Stay with Smith and Wesson

doesnt fit the bigger guys but the teens hate them

Excellent Restraints. Hinge greatly decreases unwanted movement. Even with a key in hand it is hard to get out of them.

Like the ASP design better. But these will work too

I have carried my pair for over a year now and when I needed them they worked great... I have had S& W that were crap, the key would get stuck, and they were a pain in the A$$.

THESE ARE THE ONLY CUFFS I,LL EVER USE,.I TAKE THEM TO EVERY DEPLOYMENT I GO ON WITH THE NATIONAL GUARD,.THEY NEED TO BE SOP DEPLOYMENT GEAR!

The peerless bran are not near sturdy enough for my use. I have actually wtnessed an individual twist the two hindges off. I recommend the S&W three hinge model.

Have used these and replaced them with Smith and Wesson Model 300 hinged cuffs. The Peerless cuffs were bent by a subject almost to the point of the hinges seperating.

i like the cuffs. they work very well and dont allow much movement and seem secure. only problem i have is people with small wrists. you cant twist them like the chain cuffs.

Love these cuffs, they are much more secure then the chain type. Only problem I have with them is on a large person or a person that is not very flexible it is difficult to get them in the proper position. And in my opinion if you are using two sets of cuffs on a big person, then you are defeating the purpose of the hinged cuffs.

I carry one pair of these Peerless (hinged) handcuffs and a pair of Smith & Wesson (chain) handduffs. I've been using both (same cuffs) for 12 years and have never had a problem with either of them. They both work well and do the job. The hinged cuffs had a little bit wider opening (yaw) and will fit bigger wrists. Also the hinged cuffs give you some extra torque when you need to use it. I have found that the chain link cuffs are easier to apply when having to struggle with someone. Both types and brands of cuffs are good.

I have always likedv these cuffs, used the same pair for 10+ years. They were very handy with suspects that were being difficult so the cuffs went on right and did not twist.

I have used these handcuffs many of times fighting inmates in County an have never had a problem. They are good sturdy cuffs and great for escorting an unwilling prisinor to the VC

The S&W 300 is way better. I think the Peerless 301's are awkward to use, annoying to double-lock, and ugly. I've seen a pair with twisted hinges.

So many different opinions. I have Peerless hinged for over 18 years. Never one problem others have described. I'm not sure they are 310's but they never fail me and I prefer them over the S&W because of the double lock location.

i have used the hinged peerless and hiatts for years with no problems. i like these because they will fit a bigger wrist.

I have these for going on 12 years now and still works perfect. Especially good for suspects with bigger wrist. Not to mention there Peerless!!!

Best cuff, I've used a 301 for many years and on thousands of 'customers'. Hinged is stronger & allows for more control, you can't cuff using the old 'LAPD-style' with'em, but nobody really uses overhead-cuffing anymore, plus, they're almost as fast if you practice with 'em.

very ridged almost no flex, keeps perp under control

i was a s&w fan until someone gave me a set of these now i wouldn't use anyhing else. i think i've used or at least played with almost every brand out there and these are the best. the only improvement would be making the keyhole accessable from both sides like the asp cuffs.

I have used these for years. I love them. I do have chained for certian folks, but these are for people that do are suspected of causing trouble. "Reserved for the problem children."

I have been using my Peerless hinged cuffs for almost 19 years now. I couldn't begin to tell how many people have worn them. They are great.

Hard to use on big or less flexible suspects.

Peerless and S&W have always been the leader, but I use the Peerless they seem more sturdier and some keys with the Smith are not universal

You will pay a little more, but the quality is top notch!

They are ok cuff's. I like my S&W a little bit better.

They have a bigger circumfrance so they work on bigger people. On a small person you can put one cuff on two wrists and it will fit. They are strong and provide more tactical possibilities than chained cuffs. I think they break less often than other companies. Peerless did have a bad batch a while ago but have straightened the problem out.

Great cuffs take a while to get broken in but once they are they are exceptional.

Hinged is the way to go, you dont have to fumble around with getting the key holes upright and you have better control when you do iron wrist locks. The metal is heavy duty and feels like it. The double lock is very accessable, With training this thing can be a very great multi task tool for everyone. Great product!!!! Deff MUST HAVE!!!!

great for immidiate complience. just get one on and you can easily control suspects.
