This telephone system is so great.
we use it too! i love it. so easy to use
I find this phone system easy to use. We have touch screen monitors and the large display helps ensure you hit the right button. I also love how you can put someone on hold and another dispatcher can easily find and pick up the call if necessary.
Fantastic upgrade to the E911 we've had for years in Massachusetts, Easy navigation and flow of 911 calls. Easy call backs and abandoned call reminders. Orion MapStar intergration is invalulable in cell phone 911 calls.
Product is way much better than the old system. I would have gave it 5 stars but Orion Mapstar still needs adjustments and I know it will.
i heard these are awesome we are still using E911 :(
We use the VESTA 2.20, not sure what's pictured here... It's the first computerized telephone system I've ever used and I think it's great not having to answer the phone the old-fashioned way. We use pre-recorded greeting, which helps a lot unless you have to quickly ask if "this call is an emergency" before you ask them to hold -- there's no way to stop the recording. Otherwise, it's the best thing since sliced bread!!
I Love Vesta!!!
One star is one star too many. This product sucks the big one. I don't like the fact that you can't answer your own line until another one ringing at the same time is picked up. I don't like the incessant ring...ring...ring...ring.... for every one ring you would get from a normal phone, and who thought of the addition of an AMBULANCE siren instead of a regular phone ring? ARGHH!!!!!!!! My line works, and then doesn't. It gets parked, and I can't unpark it, etc. What sadistic, non-dispatching, no experience-having, must have a grudge against dispatchers, computer geek thought up this ghetto-fabulous software? I am a cop that does double-duty as a dispatcher, and this system was installed only because "...everybody else had it...". We have had CAD failures, lost calls, disconnects, and numerous problems with the system since we converted to it, but I will say that the AT&T techs were standing ready in the dispatch center for a month to address problems...good thing...we had several, and they worked their butts off. The department will not budge with it and go back to the old system. They say we have to get used to it. Funny thing is...we gotta get used to the problems, too? Hope no fatalities occur and are traced back to this system. They'll just blame that on the call-taker just like they would anything else... That's my opinion. You wanted it, so there it is...I hate it...and so do my dispatch and police officer co-workers alike...
SO SIMPLE AND USER FRIENDLY. GREAT UPGRADE. THE RECORDING AND MAPPING ADDITIONS ARE A GOD-SEND.
Sedgwick County Emergency Communications just switched to Vesta and we're finding that there are many bugs still to be worked out. We have problems with ALI/ANI rollover and we have users who have to log in with different ID's and sometimes it gets confused. It's much better than what we had but we had other options for software and didn't choose it.
great system. we have 2 in our dispatch center. works great and hardly ever locks up.
this is nothing more than a phone on steroids with a glorified roledex.
LOVE IT
