I like these pants quite a bit, although I don't wear them reguarly. The great thing about them is the amount of storage available. The one downside, and this may seem trivial, but back pocket where one would usually put their wallet. It's a huge pocket that doesn't lend well to a wallet. I normally have to put it in the side pocket. Other than that I have had the same pair for several years and like them quite a bit!

The most comfortable, user friendly pants of any other on the market. The storage capacity of the 5.11 series is one of the reasons why they are the most popular.

Great pants plenty of storage would like to see some changes in certain pocket sizes and locations. But they do hold up well.

5.11 has had some growing pains. Not too long ago they're product was falling apart. Since then their Development Team has made improvements. And their new line of colors and types of pants reaches out for different applications. I have about 7 pair, some in the new line of colors and the new fire pants that are fire retardant. If you score a pair of the original-original pair, you have a solid-solid product. Those older pair are called Royal Robbins.

Great pair of pants. Very nice fit, and very durable. Only problem is the color fades very quickly.

Absolutely the best pants I've come across with the exception of the HRT's. Being that I never wear women's pants (always too short - I have a 37" inseam), the fact that these can come unhemmed, don't fade and are very comfortable during 11.5 hour shifts wins them 5 with me.

our dept switched to a more tactical look. Got rid of the traditional uniforms and switched to 511 polo shirts and 511 pants they are very comfortable i like the feel and design of the pants and shirts but they do fade quickly i saved couple pair of pants for court and other special events.

Tough and almost as comfortable as blue-jeans, but as they start to get broken-in (at about 50 or so washings) they fade and look too worn out.

I don't think they look proffessional and in my opinion are only suitable for training or 'tactical' assignments.

Plus, they've been around long enough and gotten popular enough when you wear them off-duty or in plainclothes, anyone in the public will immediately spot you as a cop.

Became acquainted with this product when I first sent troop to Afghanistan. They were issued 3 pairs each and used them to crawl around in the caves. They were the most sought pants I had in my inventory.

5.11 tactical pants offer just about everything you could want in apparel for law enforcement officers. If you don't mind the needed stiffness, these pants will hold up to just about anything.

I have over 140 officers that work a schedule of 3 days on and 3 days off, 12 hour shifts. The pants are very comfortable, as the officers tell me and I would say the same. The only negative thing about these pants is they do fade quickly. We were black so I am sure that would be the obvious, but I have been trying another brand that fits the same, has all the same pocket setup plus more, just as durable and cheaper. I think the 5'11 brand would have to be my second choice to the other brand. If you are interested in the other brand let me know. I will not list it here.

I wear these pants day in and day out. I have 15 pairs of all different cloth types. I like the hot weather brands, as they really do help keep you cool. They carry all the gear I need them too with extra room! You want good pants, get these!
