This is the only duty holster that I've carried (so i'm a little partial). This holster provides great weapon retention while also having the most natural motion of draw. Reasonable price along with options for several finishes (nylon, hi-gloss, basket weave, plain leather) The holster protects the weapon by way of a laminate skeleton.

This is a good level three holster for the price. It was pretty easy to get used to the action after the first day on the range; however, it can be tiring to use after a long day of drawing and reholstering. Make sure you get the top strap adjusted correctly before you start using it... I became known as "masterlock" because my strap was too tight the first range day during the academy and it was a pain in the butt to get strapped back down. Good holster, though... it should serve any officer well.

excellent retention with a natural draw motion (once learned). I've seen guys picked up by the pistol grip of their weapon with the safety strap undone. BUT pay attention to the safety strap after some time, I've seen straps chewed up by the front sight after many re-holstering sessions.

I agree with the previous reviews. Excellent holster and excellent retention! However, you do need to make sure you have the top strap secured properly. I had to cut the strap and shorten it greatly in order to properly secure my P226 DAK. I would recommend to any officer.

It is a good holster but I have moved on to a different holster. This holster does well but the twist in the draw left bruises on my side at the range.

This is an awsome holster. The added security and yet ease of use makes it one of my favorite.

I like this holster, but I've only had mine a year and a half (since my department switched to Glocks) and it's already falling apart.

Perfect holster. Once you get the hang of how to unholster it is really easy. It is almost impossible for someone facing you to disarm you. I had a fellow officer in PTI lift me off the ground trying to disarm me in training and wasn't able to, and he has the same holster now.

I love this holster, once you get the hang of it, it is amazing. Great if someone is trying to get your weapon from you.

I like my uncle mike! The only thing I don't like is that cinching it down with the little allen wrench is a pain because your hand/fingers have to cram in there... Of course, the wrench has a handle, duh, but none-the-less... and a lot of people's screws eventually gets stripped a bit. You can get extra screws though, and it's not that often you need to adjust... but really that's the only problem that I have ever had, or noticed others have had.

At first, I wasn't to keen on this holster. Don't know why, maybe because the agency wanted us to carry it and we had to pay for it. But now that I have it, I love it. I got the Slimline on a special order. Not to many people have it. If you are thinking about carrying the M&P, then this is the only holster that will fit it right now.

This was one of my first on-duty holsters. The triple retension was a great feature. It held the weapon secure yet release was easy with a little practice. Reasonable price, great product.

It's an alright holster. It is my department issued holster however I like several other holsters better. I don't like the twisting motion that is required to complete the draw. Any rock back holster I would perfer better.

Uncle Mikes is for the shooting enthusiasts and airsoft gamers, not for any serious tactical or duty use. The duty belt lacks double layer construction and does not provide support for the palithera of accessories that sits on your hips.

I was originally issued one of these holsters. I didn't like it at first but with time it grew on me, once I got some practice in drawing from it. Then my squadron switched to safariland holsters. They were nice, but I think this holster was a lot better.

After owning this holster for 7 years carrying the M9 I can say nothing bad. The retention takes a little getting used to but well worth the 1 week of grief. I've never had to worry about a suspect going for my gun but training my troops with a red gun I only lost it once. Only due to the guy having me by about 100lbs and owning the exact rig!! Otherwise, with the exception of some scuffs it still looks and perfoms perfect.

I used the this holster for four years. The first three were for my Beretta 92-fs. Then got another one for my Ruger P345. Has been a great holster. Mine has the mirage basket weave finish, and other than a few very small nicks, the finish still looks great. Quick to get into action. excellent retention. Highly recommended.
