| Description: | I Just Noticed alot of Cops in the Valley be Rollin up with style like WE, as a Law Enforcement Agencies, are trying to Keep up with the latest and the fastest! |
All I can say is FAST CARS Mean CAN'T RUN AWAY from the Police!
Yeah they're rollin in these but our agency is still rollin in crown vics. LOL
The best cruiser in a few decades!!!!! Fast is not the word. Chris, can I have one to "review" for everyone on this site?
Most of the chargers in the Utah valley were donated to the forces.I think its pretty sweet. Personally I would go for a Evo or STI.
Does it count as a "review" if I have seen alot of these driving by my '01 Crown Vic?
Nice piece of equipment.
Super Sexy, Super Effective, Uber Professional Appeal and just plain out looks sleek! Hear that engine purr and grumble... Eat em up boys... you can run, but you can't get far... :P
This vehicle is awesome, I have test drove the charger with a the v8 magnum engine. It is super fast. I would love to have this patrol car if I didn't work in a rural area now.
I love this car.
Hemi = Chubbie This car is awesome... Will do 160, Haven't been that high but sure it will surpass it....
Does the Impala have a police package? Just wondering as I really don't know. I can compare the CV to the Dodge Charger and basically there is no contest. The Charger is faster, quicker, handles better, and is simply a much better patrol unit right now. Ford is not going to want to let go of the lucrative Police market so look for them to redesign the CV or come out with something else in a PP. You can also take the Ford Mustang and the Chevy Camaro and scrap them as again, they are not even close to the Charger in any category. Chevy used to have a great pp in the Nova's back around 1980 and they were wicked fast. Understand that the Charger can easily be way too much vehicle for the cop so he needs to understand his limits. We do not want to bury any more Officers because they are driving too fast. The standard engine is fine for most cities etc and the Hemi's are hot and fast and can easily be too much for the Officers. If anyone gets and SRT8 with the 6.1 Hemi in it, only your very top Officers should even be allowed to sit in it! LOL Way too much car for most people.
My friends that drive them enjoy them alot. Comes in handy when they have to go from one end of the county to the other.
to be quite honest with you i think this is a bad idea.. or at least i think only highway patrol and the vets should be allowed to drive these "FAST" patrol vehicles, we lost alot of policeman in the past few year cause they were cocky and didnt relize it was time to abandone the chase, maybe out in the more open areas but here in jersey there or sum things you just got to accept as a police officer and its that there are some fast cars that dont stop and get away and its not worth loosing your life for a 160mph chase with a hooked up subaru or a 8 second bike
There's a PD just south of me that has switched to Chargers, and it looks like a very formidable tool in the hands of the law..fast, powerful engine, and that front grill just looks grouchy! To answer you question, Robo, the Impala *does* have a police package..the Air Force used them for base Secuity Forces when I was in, and the (WI) Kenosha PD uses the 2007 Impala and the officers reportedly prefer them to the more flashy Charger
I've been driving a dodge for a year now and I wouldnt trade for anything...been to 142 with lots left over. Lots of knee room and although it doent look it, there is plenty of room in the back even with a cage.
I must say they are fast. I live in a Metro area of 5 major cities and about 20 small towns and the 1st once to get them was a small town of 8 officers they managed to rack 2 of them in one day in the police parking lot. One of the officers excuse was the car is faster then the fords we had for the lest 10 years.
There's a civic police package?? what is the world coming to?? those are absolutely horrible..
I THINK ITS A GOOD IDEA ESPECIALLY BEING IN CALI ,LAND OF THE LAMBOS AND STREET RACERS .OUR OFFICERS SHOULD HAVE SOMETHIN TO BE ABLE TO KEEP UP WITH SCUM NOWADAY
So long as the balls-out chasing goes on where space allows - i.e. highway, then YES, YES, YES. The faster, the better.
faster cars me less pursuit times
it's bad ass
Great gas mileage!!
More civil liability issues, and the day I see a honda civic with lights in it I will get stuck in a troll trap
I agree with upgrading the police vehicles, but I think there needs to be some sort of rule of thumb to say what can be a LE Vehicle (IE. only American made). As Much as I support Law Enforcement, I do not support speed limits.
i love the dodge charger police vehicle. nothing looks more menacing on the highway than this vehicle especially with the texas highway patrol style
2001 Supercharged mustang... Love it!!!
Nobody suspects that your a cop in it...untill it's too late!
I think having the latest cars is a good thing you have warranties better cars to chase and pursue your duties as an officer and also you tend 2 get more respect when your patrol car doesn't look like a pos. Overall I think its a good thing if your dept. has the money
To me, the faster the better, and much more fun
The faster the better!
Nice!!!!!!
