Tool which can be used for come-along techniques, non-striking pain compliance rolls, or up to an effective striking tool to ward off subjects intending to cause bodily harm to officers or innocent bystanders.

The baton is easy to use and deploy from the closed position. Techniques used are not rocket science. A strike to the mass parts of the body, arms and legs can cause immediate incapacitating results.

There are more user friendly tactical batons on the market which do no require the baton to be forcibly struck on a hard surface to return to the closed mode. Manadnock comes to mind but the ASP continues to be an effective tool utilized by my department.

Love the ASP batons. I have one and have had a couple others in the past. Great baton.

When I was a boy my dad carried nitestick and a flashlight in addition to cuffs a revolver and I'm not sure what else. For me I thought that all of that was a bit too bulky and cumbersum so I purshased the ASP baton. This light weight tatanium weapon made my job so much easier and it was much more effective in close quarter combat situations than a nitestick. Are these standard issue theses days, just wondering?

Perfect mid-range use of force tool for plainclothes officers/detectives. Easy to conceal yet readily accessible for self defense, come-alongs, etc. Been an ASP instructor for 10 years, love them.

Great product. I have seen some of the other "off Brand name" expanding batons, and ASP has them beat. I did change out my end cap, because I found it slipped out of my hand with out the larger end on it.

wonderful tool to have. many uses. would recommend changing out the und cap for the knob cap. you have more control of it and not worry about slipping.
