Great multipurpose tool. I have used both Gerber and Leatherman and Gerber is the one I choose.

I had one, bought a letherman wave, and gave the gerber away. was not very strong and would not hold up.

I carry mine day and night, from work to the lake. Strong tools, sharp knives, compact. I also have a leatherman and the winchester multi tools, they are good tools but they both had many features that were not practical for my use. Gerber case does not fit well on duty belt but is a perfect fit on thigh rig leg strap.

I received mine as a gift from Mr. Campbell at a construction site I was working. the Gerber multi tool comes with the famed Gerber pouch. I have used the scizzors, the knife, the phillips screw drivers the flat tip screwdrivers, the needle nose pliers and the wire crimpers and the wire cutters. I have used the tool enthusiastically. The only thing, is that after continued use, the heads of the pliers have come loose in the housing, but other than that, I continue to use it, and strap it on every morning as I got out the door to work.

This thing is amazing. I have carried one for years, and I use it almost every day. Every tool is easily accessible and dependable. The blade is razor sharp. This item should be standard equipment for every LEO.

great multi-purpose tool. used this all the time when i was in iraq and the locking mechanisms on it make it easy to carry without it opening up on you in your pocket or when you're using it.

I have used the Leatherman products and gave them up for one of these. I use one with a blackened finish and love it's easy opening locking mechanism. I have broken into many homes and apartments with this product, in the course of my duty only though. An awesome product that I highly recommend to any LEO.

I have owned several of these units over the last six years. I use them for my security company. I can perform about 80% of my service work with this one tool. It's easy to open (much easier than Leatherman). Great tool. Well worth the money. I have broken a knife point once. I have broken the file once. All i had to do was send it to Gerber and they repaired it and sent it back to me within seven days.

Exellent addition to your gear. I love the locking feature...I don't have to worry about them folding during use. Drawback is there are no scissors for precise cutting.
