Good little knife. Strong and Solid. Would recommend it to any first responder.
I love my Kershaw. I keep it on my motor boot and use it several times a day doing everything from opening letters to cutting seatbelts to extract crash victims. It works like a charm.
Not sure about this one but, I do own a Kershaw and love t.
While my Kershaw is not this particular model, I have a "Ken Onion" version. It is one of the best locking TAC knives I've found. I can have it out of my pocket and open in about one to two seconds. It holds a great edge, is spring loaded, the blade and handle are black, and it is made in the USA. Check out model 1550ST or Kershaw part number 6.145.202. You won't be disappointed
Kershaw's are very nice knives. However, I prefer Benchmade.
No problems so far.
over all Kershaw makes a good knife, just make sure that you get one that has the lock on it...I dropped mine one time when searching a guy and when it hit the ground it opened.,...they have ones that have a lock on it so that will not happen, why they all do not is odd to me but beware when you get yours.
Kershaw makes a very good knife. Keeps edge better than any that I have owned. I currently own 4.
yeah i definitely love my kershaw....cut right through grass and dirt stuck in the tire bead of my patrol car (dont ask.....) and still has a great edge
Best knife I have ever bought! Love the assisted open and has a great blade!
Had an opportunity to play with a few Kershaw knives last weekend. LOVE the spring assist, just barely have to open with the thumb-stud and "schwing!" there you are, ready to go!
I love this knife...I have carried one on and off duty for several years now...
This is a good quality knife for the money. Mine took a beating the last time I was in the "Box' but maintained a good cutting edge and didn't get gummed up from all the sand. The only improvement I would suggest is to make the thumb assist larger. I found that the little knub that is on the knife now just wasn't large enough to be of any use when I had gloves on.
I own the assisted and the standard knife. They have both been great knives just becareful when using the new spring assisted knife, if it weren't for the factory blade guard I would be looking at another scar. I was just used to the other knife and was trying to open it the same way. thin frame make it easy to carry in uniform pants. great knives.
I own the Kershaw Ken Onion "Chive" (mini version) and the "Leek" (full size) models which look similar except for the holes in the body of the knife and have to say they both are great knives. I for years carried my auto opening benchmade and since aquiring the kershaw, seem to carry these more often. Don't get me wrong, the Benchamde is a great knife, just feel the blade on the kershaws hold a better edge during use. I carry the Chive in my shirt pocket and the Leek in my strong side pocket. Carry the Chive when in a suit for court functions due to it's size and light weight. Kershaw is a good knife for the money. I paid well over $100 for the Benchmade and the Kershaw's go for less than $50 depending on the model. Only negative I do find with the the model's i have and from what seems to me would be the same with this model review is the metal handle doesn't afford a grip type surface and can be a bit slick when wet. This is why i would rate it a 4 out of 5 stars.
Very disapointed with this exact Kershaw knife. I bought one for the boot pocket on my 5.11's. The knife was (and sometimes still is) very hard to open one handed, and the blade began to have rust spots.
But I have another Ken Onion knife with the assisted opening and the teflon coating and I absolutely love it. It has an amazing grip and remains sharp for a long time.
nice!
Great knife.
Carry it everywhere i go
Solid And Durable.....
HAD IT FOR A WHILE. IT'S LIGHT AND HOLDS AN EDGE VERY WELL. I SKINNED SEVERAL DEER WITH IT. HANDY LITTLE KNIFE!
