Pretty much the whole department cant stand this stuff. Many will argue the benefits of a cone spray, having seen it deployed it isnt much better than the old fog pattern. The regular products as issued dont have the safeties built in like other OC devices such as DefTec and others. Canisters are small and have to be carried in a plastic container since there is no exterior flip type safety has caused several un-intended releases.
It Burns. Hahaa... We had this sprayed in our face in my O.C. Spray Cert. Class.. And it Does work, I had about a 9min recovery from it so I dont know how effective that is.
oil based oc is berret than the water based. my only problem is the water based does not last as long.
We use this product along with First Defence in the IMU/SEG unit. We get the best results from Cap-stun although it cant be used with EID/REACT devices. I am still looking forward to trying the Fox labs OC.
Use this on a regular basis. Only not worked once.
I was certified on capstun ,and its great.
Works ...my only concern is its alchol content and flammability when used with electric control devices
