| Description: | Hunting: This model is available with a variety of barrel and sight configurations, most intended for hunting and/or trap/skeet shooting. It is made in both black and camouflage finishes. Due to the polymer coated receiver and stock, along with proprietary coatings on the action and barrel, it is considered impervious to the elements. Barrels may be rifled or smoothbore, and are usually 24", 26", or 28" in length. This model is available in 12 gauge or 20 gauge. Five types of chokes are available. Tactical: This model is intended for defensive purposes. With an 18" barrel, and rifle or ghost- ring (diopter) sights, it is easier to wield and quicker to sight than hunting models. This barrel is smoothbore, and unthreaded, (will not accept chokes) rendering it less accurate at longer ranges. A slightly different model labeled the H2O Nova is similar, with the exception of an electroless nickel finish replacing the standard black coating, presumably with corrosion resistance in mind. This model is 12 gauge only. SuperNova: This model incorporates a number of recoil reducing features, and has a removable stock that can be replaced by a pistol-grip stock. Synthetic Stock and Receiver Cover: for moisture resistance. Cross Bolt Safety Extensible Magazine: may optionally hold up to 7 rounds in magazine. (2.75in. 12 gauge) 3.5in. chamber: will fire and reliably cycle 2.75in., 3in., and 3.5in. shells. (in 12 gauge) Recoil Reducer: this optional mercury recoil unit is installed via a bracket that is attached to the interior of the stock. The baffled tube holds 14 oz. of mercury, which raises the length of time that the shot's impulse is spread across, thus lowering felt recoil. Optional Tritium Sights: for tactical units, to provide constantly illuminated sights. Chamber Empty Button: on the forend, allows unloading of unfired shell without releasing additional shells from the magazine. Recoil without the internal reducer is very harsh using the 3.5 inch shells. The shotgun is very light due to its composite/steel construction. This light weight shotgun lends itself to heavy recoil using heavy loads with high velocities. The recoil reducer helps reduce the felt recoil and allows the shooter to obtain a faster second shot. The recoil reducer is an option and must be purchased separately from Benelli or any of the more common shotgun web sites, or incorporated in the original sale/order. The recoil reducer consists of two elements; the apparatus that connects to the stock via the buttstock compartment, and the mercury element that is inserted into the recoil apparatus |
AWSOME shot gun, holds a tight pattern of buck shot and places slugs like a sniper rifle. Easy on the pocket book and holds a sweet 3 1/2 inch mag shell.
I have this in the 18.5 inch barrel with ghost ring sights. Great all around shotgun. Can take 2 3/4 to 3 1/2 sells. I suggest getting the recoil reducer if you purchase one.
I HAVE THIS BUT IT IS A SUPER NOVA. SUPER GUN. SHOOTS BUCKSHOT AND SLUGS VERY WELL. YOU CAN BUY A VARIETY OF CHOKES FOR WHATEVER THE SITUATION CALLS FOR EVEN A RIFLED TUBE FOR SABOTS. THE RECOIL ISN'T VERY BAD EITHER EVEN WITH 3 1/2" MAGS. IT'LL ROCK YOUR WORLD. TRY WINCHESTER'S 3 1/2" HIGH VELOCITY 00 BUCK. WHAT A RIDE!
Ii have one for hunting only, nice 28" barrel I believe? It is light so it has a little kick to it. SWEET gun though. No complaints
THE HOLE IT MAKES. OH YEA
Great shotgun! Was kinda hesitant at first with all the polymer, but after a few rounds, was floored at how smooth and quick this shotgun was. I'll be buying one as soon as I can.
I had the opportunity to shoot the 12 gauge version of this shotgun at the range. I liked the feel of the Benelli aswell as the sights. The gun was smooth with little recoil.
Personally, I love shotguns! And Benelli is definately one of the best!
Pretty nice shotgun. Never shot one but have always held the dream. LOL
Nothing better IMHO
this is the best and lightest shotgun you can get
If you must have a shotgun, this is the one you need to have. You can't go wrong,
This rides on Patrol with me. I have made some modifications to it to make it more user friendly and increase its tactical performance. This is it for reliability and firepower, its uses are only limited to your imagination.
This firearm is top notch. I have owned one for 4 years now, beat the heck out of it goose and duck hunting in Michigan. It never fails or hangs up, even in the ice, snow and cold. I bought the camo version. I have used it turkey hunting as well. It is a little light in the rear, so you feel the 3 1/2 inch turkey mags, you can buy and recoil reducer for about 40 bucks and have it installed in the butt stock, makes a huge difference.
This is the issued weapon for our dept. I love it.
I have one of these with 18.5 inch barrel for home defense, taking it down to the range, almost everyone wants to try it out, and they all love it. Plus, how can you go wrong with any 12 gauge chambered for 3 1/2 shells.
It's our department issued roit gun...It's a great weapon, but kicks like a mule...
Awesome shotgun, fires great!
Love my B*Tch.. She sits well in my cruiser and on my 3 point tac sling..
Love the Nova. Tricked out with 18" barrel, ghost-ring night sights, extender, recoil reduction, and a side-saddle. It's great shooting slugs and smiling while the guys with less worthy shotguns winch. Nice tight groups and it takes down for cleaning almost as fast as my Glocks. Push out two pins in the trigger area, drop the sub-assembly, pull one more to free the firing pin, release the barrel, and it's ready to clean. And it looks like something that belongs in Darth Vader's gun case.
Great gun. Shoots tight, even with 18.5 tactical barrel. Perfect homeland security tool
Mine is used for waterfowl, and I must say, great handling shotgun. Smooth recoil even with 3 1/2" loads. Even when im out just shooting with the boys, it holds a great pattern at distance with buckshot.
I like this product. Many have gone down by its hand. Varmits like coyotes that are eating the endangered bird eggs. Super weapon. Should be called the SUPER NOVA.
We use them for less than lethal beanbags. Very accurate at 60 feet.
