| Description: | Louis "Maddog" Vullion is a young attorney . . . and a murderer. He kills for the sheer contest, playing an elaborate game for which he has written terrifying rules. Police Lt. Lucas Davenport, a brilliant games inventor, is going to have to outmaneuver the killer's clever plan--to beat the mad dog at his own deadly craft. |
The first in what has become a seventeen novel series. Lucas Davenport is a cops cop, and since he is a fictional character he is able to work in ways we only wish we could. I highly recommend this novel and the entire series.
Caveat: While each book can be read stand-alone, they do follow a progression through the lives of the main characters, including deaths, divorces, promotions, etc. I would suggest anyone who reads Rules or Prey and enjoys it to read the rest of the series in order.
GOOD BOOK,EXCITING.
I have enjoyed following this series. John Sandford weaves a wonderful tale and continues it through the series allowing a not often seen insight into the main characters lives, how they think and why they act the way they do. I would recommend this book to all who love good works of fiction, and this whole series. I
Once you read it you'll have to read all of them in the series!
I have the whole series, I love Lucas, I could not wait for the latest book to come out.
Couldn't put it down.
Good book. Creepy since I knew places he was writing about.
Nice series.
