| Description: | The Hiatt Handcuffs product line offers a variety of unique features designed to address the needs of today's law enforcement personnel: A unique back-loading feature for fast application - open cuff can be snapped back into place with a quick motion of the wrist and then reapplied without having to release the offender's hand 18 teeth — 3 independent retaining bars with 6 teeth on each make it extremely difficult to pick, while providing increased strength as the shackle engages the additional teeth A Leaf Spring instead of a coil spring in the double lock mechanism used to foil a suspect's attempt to overcome the handcuff's double lock mechanism True Swing Technology which ensures the swing arm is balanced and centered so it locks into the center of the shackle every time Domed rivets which are bigger on the outside than the inside making it very difficult to pop out without drilling 40% lighter and 17% larger. Made from a combination of steel and aluminum, known as Steloy, the lightweight model offers maximum strength without the extra weight. Available in nickel and black. |
Great product...
Great cuffs, no complaints, durable, reliable, and I have two pair!
Sweeeeeeeeeeeeet! Dang Nice!!!
Cant beat 'em. Not even with a stick...
I don't endorse these. Peerless is the way to go. And I prefer the link style...can't step through them as easily. Never have been impressed with Hiatt. Sorry.
They are more expensive than other cuffs on the market but they are well worth the money. Easy to Use and very durable. Carry nothing but Hiatt's on my belt.
What can you say...they have been around a long while cause they are durable and easy to use.
I prefer hinged but always have these around for backup
I carry two pair of these on my belt and some more in the car. They are great, reliable and have never had a problem with them. Has anyone tried the titaniums? they are so lightweight and just a joy to use.
good cuffs...i prefer the s&w's myself though.
Use them for back up only. Hinge cuffs work better for me.
they will do but I love s&w 300 more than this
I'm a peerless hinged cuff fan myself. We used chain cuffs in my old agency, and I still have 2 pairs of chains as backup, but I think hinge is really the way to go.
I love the chain handcuffs for training purposes. I have not had the opportunity to use the cuffs in real life detentions. I do not have arresting powers, yet.
Very good cuffs and you could speed load them for faster application. They are also hard to pick and very durable.
Great for deterrance.
FINE.....CHAINS COULD BE THICKER.
Love my Hiatts. I have used the model 2010 for 7 years and they have never let me down. However, they do take a while to break in but that would not prevent me from buying another pair.
These cuffs are far better than peerless. Hiatts will always be my first choice in cuffs with smith & wesson 100p coming in second.
I'd only carry chains as a last resort.
