| Description: | This book will provide a comprehensive overview of the methamphetamine crisis and what professions must know to work with meth affected persons and their environment. As a guide for law enforcement and others, it provides current, state-of-the-art information to understand the effects of methamphetamine, detection of meth labs, and agencies working together. Methamphetamine is the fastest growing drug of choice and the likelihood of someone dealing with a person on meth or finding a meth lab is constantly increasing. This book is based on current research and the authors' training and experience (over 70 years of combined law enforcement experience). |
I met Brain Sallee one of the authors...He is a great man...Very knowledgable.
I've heard good stuff about this handbook. Looking forward to reviewing it.
I enjoy reading about law, case law, and other interesting stuff on the job. But I would have no interest in reading a book about one drug. Furthermore, this book would really not come in handy much for me in my area. Meth is not the problem, cocaine and prescription drugs are. However, this may in fact be a good book.
i BELIEVE THIS BOOK COULD BE A GREAT TOOL IF USED CORRECTLY & INVESTIGATORS NEED* TO HAVE THIS KNOWLEDGE,AS WELL AS THE STREET KNOWLEDGE IT TAKES LIKE I HAVE...AND WITH THE DRUG COMMUNITY. ONE MUST HAVE PEOPLE PLACED IN THE CORRECT PLACES AND NOT LET ANYONE KNOW* WHAT THEY ARE REALLY DOING...OR SOMEONE COULD GET KILLED AS MY SISTER DID.
meth is here to stay! its the "poor man's cocaine" and is a major problem!
Gives straight forward, honest account of the drug itself, and the effects this drug has. This will help educate officers who otherwise may not know about signs of meth users. Allows a look inside the drug itself, and the mind set of those who use it.
