I had the opportunity to hear the author speak a few years ago- good book and good speaker. He does seminars for agencies and for anyone in training or management, look into his class for your troops. Just reading the book may help you understand yourself and other cops better.

Excellent must read- especially for rookie officers. I believe this book will make your family life and in return your career more enjoyable. I'm going to require guys I train to read it. Teaches about hyper vigilance and survival.

This is a great book, not only for the Law Enforcement Officer but for his/her spouse and family to read.

Great book, even had to write a 40 page paper on it, for police stress class. Explains the various stressors and ways to combat the effects of long-term hypervigilance. Recommended read for anyone studying or involved with L.E.

this book was all about me, my family, and my lifestyle. best book i have ever read my wife is in the process of reading it. explains to family why law enforcement/ military acts the way they do. w.c.

Excellent book. Best of any L.E. books I have read. I saw him in person and listened to one of his seminars. Good book for putting things into perspective and keeping you grounded and your head on straight. Helps explain your behavior toward family/friends and how you can maybe avoid going down the wrong path that thousands of L.E.O. have gone without knowing they were on that path. GOOD BOOK!!!
