| Posted 4 months ago If I may ask how large or an area, how many dogs, how large of a budget and last how much work do you want to do yourself. |

| Posted 4 months ago Area is not a problem.......six dog unit at this time, budget wise......undetermined, I have to make a proposal once I get a general idea of how much its going to cost. We can do some of the work ourselves however I plan to request support from local Job Corps and possibly federal prison camp, as we assist them both with drug searches routinely. |

| Posted 4 months ago Honestly I would stay away from most of what is being sold by most of the K9 training supply companies most are made from plastic material, they have a limited life span and when one cracks its over. Earth, concrete and timber with a little imagination make for better stronger and more realistic training. If you do an demos for the public away from the OB training yard we made an easy set of portable hurdles out of PVC piping that has held up pretty well. Recommended Main OB course items used 2 Set's of hurdles with adjustable hight
give me a few days to look through my photos I am sure will find some of the photos I have taken of past and present OB courses along with some companies we have used in the past and possible the cost of some of OB courses. |

| Posted 4 months ago Look on the NAPWDA web site and you can get what is required there. Also try USPCA and VPWDA. The measurments for the jumps are there, but not a distance between the jumps. Also if you find you have a very nice budget you might try American Aluminum Products |

| Posted 3 months ago GOOCH said: Standard obstacles, like listed in USPCA Rule book. They are fairly easy to build and will last a long time. Build a few hurdles out of pipe and chain link fence. A telephone pole, support about a foot off the ground, horizontally, makes a great obstacle. A small room made of 2 x4 and plywood about 8 ft x 8 ft. lay a lot of empty milk jugs inside on the ground. they can be kicked at the dog during bite training. The dog can pursue the subject into the 'house' and let the fight ensue. Beyond fatigue lies compensatory hypertrophy |

| Posted 3 months ago Like DFrost said, you can get plans from the USPCA Rule Book. Home Depot donated all of our lumber and a paint store sold us several gallons of some kind of heavy duty paint at cost. The Jail Work House built everything for us so there were no labor costs.
