| Posted 8 months ago I have this uncanny ability of my butt finding water when I cross a stream or creek. I was in Oregon, crossing a stream about waist-deep, when I slipped on some mossy rocks and went under. Sassy, knowing she couldn't swim (long story) jumps in after me and I end up having to "save" us both...it was hilarious, but showed me that her instinct was to think of me first, and herself last. God, I miss her... Troll...the other white meat. It's "what's for dinner". FORTES FORTUNA ADIUVAT |

| Posted 8 months ago I love my mix pit/dalmation, unfortunately my lil jrt thinks she can take her. Last night was a $500. trip to the emergency vets because my daughter threw down some food they both wanted. sigh...they are both great dogs and get along fine without human interference.!! |

| Posted 8 months ago Amen to this thread, I love my Pit(American Staffordshire Terrior) Jessie. She is by far the best dog I have ever had. "You can't always control the circumstances in life, but you can control your attitude toward those circumstances." |

| Posted 8 months ago defective24 said: Yes - jrt's are "little pit bulls" in my opinion. High strung with the Terrier attitude, smarts, and tenacity....however, just because the dog "Gods" have made pits the way they are...they are always "game" to see who is the ruler of the roost. Once my girls and boys turned about a year old and were feeling more "adult" and less "puppy", I decided that I would not put two adult pits together without adult HUMAN supervision. It only takes a second...you know what I mean. Once my two girls got into it over a dish of food...It was everything I could possibly do to break them up. I tore my MCL in my knee and had rug burns on both knees and finally had to physically toss one dog out of the kitchen and literally tip over the dining room table to barricade the door so I could just lay on the floor in pain, catching my breath and cussing them both out. The wife walks in the back door with groceries in hand and starts laughing uncontrollably. I was in too much pain to find any humor in it. Troll...the other white meat. It's "what's for dinner". | Posted 8 months ago OUch.....I have a set of pit/dalmation mixes. I call them Ying/Yang, Night/Day, Good/Better....one has the pit features with white fur and spots, the other looks like a great dane! the pit one has that attitude while the other is a "lover". They are awesome when angry! I've never encountered that kind of strength packed with that kind of determination. Keep in mind i was used to JRT's when I was blessed with the pit girls.... |

| Posted 3 months ago i have a blue-nose pit named Bella. she looks like a miniature cow because of her markings. i have never been so attached to an animal before but its hard not to love her. she rarely barks which i think is a plus. she is the best, most beautiful dog ever. whenever i take her for a walk everyone we see comments on how beautiful a dog she is. |

| Posted 2 months ago OMG!!! I love my Pit.... I have never had one but my boyfriend had 2 that he lost in a divorce. I have had a Pug for 3 years and wanted another one. He talked me into getting a Pit. I have always wanted a brindle colored dog and was able to get my Pit in brindle. Her name is Cabella "aka Bella" and she is so sweet. Everybody that sees her thinks that she is so beautiful and also thinks that she is a Boxer. I don't know where they get that from. There are numerous pictures on my profile of Bella |

| Posted 2 months ago i just bought a pitt/boxer puppy for my (2 almost 3 year old) son . i named her Ali ( after mahammad ali cause she's half boxer) we've had her 2 weeks tomorrow. anyways... 3 days after having her the neighbor came over to say hi. she got between the neighbor and my son and became fierce. this little pup barking and growling. the neighbor told her to shut up and before i could say anything my 10 year old rott got up and stood over Ali and snorted. it was amazing, my heart felt like it caught on fire. the neighbor left and now ali thinks she's untouchable. lol. | Posted 2 months ago Mine is part Pit and part Lab....he thinks he has a lil bit of cat in him too...I had some older kittens that taught him a few bad habits and how to use his paws like hands!!! He is my baby and my body guard.....have had people messing around at night around the house and he's let it be known that he was here and ready to rumble...If I didn't know him I wouldn't mess with him,he can get mean in a split second when it comes to me or the kids!! ~*Sheila*~ "If we ever forget that we're ONE NATION UNDER GOD, then we will be a nation gone under."..... | Posted 2 months ago The best thing I love about my pitt is his stand he is only six month old and when I walk him down the road, people just stop and admire him. Even the ones that don't like pitt. My landor doesn't like pitt so when I told him I got a dog he quickly ask what kind? Because almost everyone in my town own a pitt. So I told him I got a staffordshire bull dog terrier he is like what ? what is that? I told him is a medium size house protecive dog. so he said ok . |
