Posted 6 months ago what do you prefer? |

| Posted 6 months ago Neither, I enjoy my undercover position much better than I ever did patrol or post! But if I had to pick one, I'd definitely have to say PATROL! |

| Posted 6 months ago Patrol, post gets to redundant and when it's at night there is usually no one to talk to... I don't laugh in death's face. I tend to make belittling comments and snigger behind death's back. |

| Posted 5 months ago A little bit of both. Post can get a little boring at times, but so does patrol. So I find a little bit of the two has always worked. |

| Posted 5 months ago I prefer an even amount of both. With post, you get a chance to interact with clients and build a rapport. On patrol, you obviously have more of a chance of "action", but if nothing else it keeps you in a little better shape. The alternation also helps the day (or night) go by quicker, also keeping you a little fresher out there. |

| Posted 3 months ago I perfer patrol, because it helps keep you on your toes and keeps you alert to your surroundings. I do mobile patrol in an unmarked unit so i am able to detect and prevent a lot of crime before it happens!

| Posted 3 months ago Patrol. I like that I can go to numerous sites on patrol and not being stuck at one site for 8 to 12 hours at a time. Patrol makes the time go by faster. |

| Posted 2 months ago I prefer patrol, but there are times when it can be good to stand a post, especially if you have paperwork to catch up on. |

| Posted 2 months ago I am fortunate in the sense that my company primarily does patrol. We don't sit in one area for any extended length of time and we don't watch surveillance camera's. We do foot / vehicle patrol and stay on our feet. We try to stay "right in the middle" of thing's. Patrol is the way to go if you are doing security work, at least for me anyway, I know some old timers that just want to sit around all day looking into a monitor. I'm too young for that stuff I need to be on the move................ Get a Glock and loose the nickel plated sissy pistol.

| Posted 2 months ago I prefer to patrol, not sit at one spot. Sitting still too long leads to boredom and falling asleep. Deterring crime is best done by being more visible. "People sleep peacefully in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf. " |
