Deputy McCormack, I'll be on the look out and pass this info on, I'm sure they've probably changed the color by now, but I have my eyes and ears open for you brother.

Can't miss a beauty like that. I'll keep an eye out, but I can't guarantee I'll call you if I see it though. LOL

Shweet car !

I had a '69 Chevelle SS 396. It was the fastest hole-shot car around. Uh....prior LEO days, of course.

Wow! What a beauty. That car is too distinct, someone knows where she is, but she's probably been changed enough to not be so obvious. But trust me, if I see her driving through Utah, I'll know her. Good site!

Thanks for the compliment. I was searching the site for a group like this. I found a lot of really good groups that had a lot of good articles but none showing what we chase after daily, the bad guys. I also know that as LE we work a lot of crimes against person cases in where we need a little help. Hopefully this site might help an LEO find that missing link that they are looking for.

TJ,

A couple of thoughts here... 1. Have you reached out to www.iaati.org and/or www.nicb.org for help? Because I have run the VIN on 2 seperate public access sites and it's not coming up as a stolen, but when I tried to run a CarFAX report it said the VIN was 4 digits short... maybe due to age? or ???

2. Could this have had some type of title cloning done and it's gone thru an auction undetected?
I would suggest contacting some of the bigger auction companies, like Manheim's to check on it....

This of course is provided you haven't already done some of that stuff....

My gut hunch is that this car was targeted for some dirtbag's private collection and may never get driven again, just as a "show piece".... but I have been known to be wrong once or twice :)

I'm not "really" a troll....I just love changing my avatar... because...

I checked my paperwork, Va Crime Information Network and NCIC this morning and it is all coming back as stolen as when entered. If you need any more info just contact me and I will be glad to assist you.

I had a '70 Chevelle SS in high school. I got in just a little bit of trouble in that car ;- ). This brings back memories. Let me know if you get info that it might come south and we'll be looking.

HEY GLAD I ACCEPTED THE INVITE FROM STACY....

I HAVE SEEN THAT CAR OR THE TWIN BROTHER OF THAT CAR, ( IT SURE STANDS OUT) IN THE SOUTH GEORGIA / NORTH FLORIDA AREA.

I JUST CAN NOT REMEMBER EXACTLY WHERE I SAW IT.

I AM 80% SURE I SAW IT NEAR LAKE CITY FLORIDA, I COMMUTE DAILY 72 MILES EACH WAY.

I DO REMEMBER TAKING A SECOND LOOK WHEN I SAW IT MY FAVORITE COLOR.

I HAVE PRINTED SEVERAL FLYERS FROM THE SITE. AND WILL POST AT AREA DEPARTMENTS, BOTH GEORGIA AND NORTH FLORIDA.

HOPE WE GET IT......SO KEEP US UPDATED IF YOU DO NOT MIND.
