Posted 3 months ago To all our LEOs on PoliceLink, I would ask you to please click the Request LEO Verification link and receive your nifty gold badge. This allows us (mods and PL members) know who the real deal cops are and can help us weed out the wannabes, pretenders, trolls, etc. We have been assured that all information is confidential and will not be disseminated under any circumstance. Please fill out the online form as complete as possible to facilitate a quicker verification process. Thanks. *Update:* I've been receiving a few PMs about LEO status of various members. I do not hand out the gold badges, I'm only the messenger. Please fill out the online form. If you have any trouble using the online form the site should redirect you to a manuel method (email/fax) to submit your verification. This second method may take longer but you will still be verified. Also remember, if you are using a secondary method to become verified you will need to add your SCREEN NAME otherwise you cannot be verified. | Posted 3 months ago I am NOT currently a sworn LEO. I had to resign 2 years ago and move cross country due to some family medical issues and am trying to return to my old agency (Fed). I am still currently on two separate LEO restricted email lists,[ plus an Elder Abuse List moderated via NIH] which allow me to stay current on info, share LEO / Officer Safety matters, etc to others that are LEO and share info to security practitioners WHEN APPROPRITE. I'd like to think that I DON'T fall into the "troll" category. Question is, Can I be "verified" or do I need to wait until I return to a sworn position? If I must wait, I understand. I can provide verification of my former status. Do not remove tag under penalty of law. Artificially colored & flavored. Close cover before striking. Refrigerate after opening. No purchase necessary.
