Anybody have any interesting dog names? I have two beagles, whom my shift mates love their names. My first is Dr. Pepper Spray (pepper for short), for my two favorite things. The second is Sade McTaser.

"Smiley" :) and "Sir Randelson," they're brothers of different litters. We sold Smiley, but we're keeping Randelson on account of his father ("Randy Andy Brandy Bucks") dying a few weeks ago from Addison's Disease. We were gonna sell him, but he needed something to fill the positions on the chairs in the living room, and our hearts. Besides he was getting kinda old for a puppy, he was born the day before Mother's day of last year.

When I rescued my minpin, i spent the first day trying to figure out what the heck to name him. Finally I took out a piece of paper and started writing down his finer points.... this is what I came up with. He's small but fierce, extremely intelligent and has HUGE ears.... YODA!!! ;-)

My parents have a dog that I named when I was a kid that when he was a puppy he would wet on the floor when you would pet him. So I named him Willie Sprinkles.

They also have a black lab named Barnie Fife and I have a weinie dog named Bojangles after the fast food joint. Let it be known I wasn't the idiot that named him after fast food. It would be an ex.

I've got an aussie named "Dummy" - her name started out as I-Dix (ex found her in the middle of the travel lanes on I-10 while on patrol). She was completely unsocialized and sometimes when she looks at you, it's like there's nothing between the eyes, so I started calling her "Dummy I-Dix" and eventually dropped the I-Dix all together and now she's just Dummy. When she's being particularly difficult - she can be a "Rainman" during times of stress, then I call her "Dummy Dam*it!" The vet techs have finally resigned themselves to calling her Dummy - they didn't think it was a nice name. But it fits her 100%.

When I was little I name my first cat "Glad" after the trashbags - don't ask me why, I have no idea, I was 5.

My hamster's name was "Hammy".

I like to give my foster dogs Cajun names - I've had a Claude Hebert, an Abbey Fontenot, T-Boy from Lafayette, Jolie, etc.

I have unique names for all of my animals. My male and female blue healers are Lincoln and Madison (after the presidents of course). Lincoln is the biggest dog, was named after the tallest US president in history. Madison (the smallest dog) is named for the smallest US president. My cats (yes I own both) are Tennessee Tuxedo and Chumley. Those of you who are my age will know. The rest of you check re-run cartoons on Nick-at-Night. My donkey is Hey Zeus. It seems that my daughter wanted me to name him something out of Greek mythology and my wife wanted him named something out of the Bible... I found a compromise. I had a bull whose name was lunch. Can you guess why he isn't still running around my pasture? The next bull I get will either be Supper or a more elegant name... Bovinius Moo! One day I hope to get a Bull Mastiff or a Great Dane. He will be named Phydoux (pronounced fido)

Cool names! You know Phydoux is spelled Fideaux down here! :-)
