Rolex- Platinum Yacht Master.
My gift to me when I was promoted to Lieutenant. Saved for a longtime and about gave up on the promotion thing. I got lucky. Thought Id be a Seargent for life, not a bad deal either.
I dont wear it as a status symbol to anyone but myself. It signifies my long, hard work in this profession and in my 18th year, I was able to buy my watch.
PLease dont label me pretentious as I said earlier, it was a gift to me only.

Not pretentious. In fact, I say you earned it big time LT!

I just got a new watch as a gift from a friend of mine who owns a jewelry store. It's Jules Jurgensen. She gave it to me to celebrate my divorce from my abusive ex husband.

Nice cheap little Timex Sport Watch. Have broken or lost far too many watches over the years to spend a bundle on one. As long as they keep time, I'm good to go.

Thank you nanny, I appreciate your thoughts. You also celebrated a milestone with your watch. I think that wearing it just reminds you of where you've come from, and where your headed to.

I've worn Casio G-Shock watches for the past 20 years. In that time, I've had 4 different versions.

Suunto Observer. A SEAL platoon deployed with these during their first deployment overseas. Their sniper is a buddy of mine. I figure if it was good enough for them, it was good enough for me.

And LtFrank, no worries. I 'awarded' myself a GMT II when I promoted.

I wear a $5 watch I bought at Target. If I end up rolling around with someone, and it breaks... I'm not going to really care. It has a light and tells the time and date, I don't need anything else.

Do you normally shock G's?

I wear a regular $15 Timex - on sale - Wally-World exclusive. Going hands-on need not be clouded by worrying bout jewelry.

Works great....light, time - date and it looks 'bout as good as a new set of snow tyres...
