OK... so I'm sitting at an intersection... IN A POLICE CAR... and I watch this guy not slow down from the 40 zone into the 30 (for one of two reasons, it would be too much effort to move his foot and apply the brakes, or the most obvious answer... he needed to speed up to 'make the light'). Then he runs the red light at about 45 in a 30 and acts all suprised when I stop him. I couldn't have been more obvious at the intersection unless I had already had on my lights and sirens, ya know what I mean?! Then he complains that he will need extra time to pay the meager $20 fine. I shrugged it off, but now must vent the following and you've all experienced it before.... He doesn't have 20 bucks, but he has a newly purchased pick-up truck, insurance, gas in his truck, food in his belly as evidenced by the ketchup on his chin, etc., and blah, blah, blah... How about make a PB&J, ride your bike, or better yet... SLOW THE F DOWN and ACTUALLY STOP BEFORE THE LIGHT CHANGES... then we'll both be happy.

My dispatcher said that the parties were having a verbal argument, without being able to stop myself I said, "As opposed to sign language?"

An inmate today told me that he was "forty-five, we're about the same age"....Which we are not!! I threatened to have him beat down for such a comment...at which point he back pedalled saying you just seeeeem older by the way you carry yourself......good try....I must be looking really worn down today..

The night I wrote this someone lit their house on fire with my on-duty better half inside... It's all I can say about it for now... except that all of the police officers and fire-fighters are ok... the family dog was BBQd during the incident though. Stupid is as stupid does.

I treated myself to dinner tonight with a pizza and a few glasses of wine ~ delicious! When it was obvious I was nearly done, my waitress asked me the stupidist question of all... she said, "Do you want dessert?" OF COURSE I WANT DESSERT!!! LMAO

That's true, but without stupid people, we would have to lay off a bunch of officers.
