In the last 5 years, my department has been using an indoor range for some pistol quaifications. We qual 2 times a year, with 1 being outdoors mainly to do long gun qualification. I know indoor qualifications present a more controlled and comfortable environment. What I have noticed is on both day and night fire, I score about 2 percentage points higher on the indoor range. I was wondering if some of you have also noticed that much difference in your scores???

My scores have gotten better with age. The sights should be clear and the target a gray blurry image. Now it comes naturally! I can't see past my sights except for blurry images. Amazing how much better I score now!

Shooting inside takes the environmental stressors out of it, so most people shoot better indoors, imho..

What's wrong with a little bit of environmental stressors? You'll have to deal with more than that when the feces hits the rotary oscillator!

I have never had the pleasure of qualifying at an indoor range....we always wait till it is 25 degrees outside and then go shoot! =)

I notice my scores dropped a little when we went to an indoor range. I prefer outdoor ranges myself.

Not a darn thing wrong with them, my department shoots outside all the time. And that can get pretty cold in MN in january. I was just mentioning it.

indoor ranges aren't realistic it's not always going to be comfy we shoot outdoors in whatever nature gives us. (and I meant weather, not nekked)

What's wrong with Extreme Nekked Shootin'?
