| Posted 3 months ago To me, Dispatchers and communicators deserve more than just one week of recognition for what they do for us and the citizens every day. From one who knows what it is like to drive the dispatch chair, my thanks and admiration to you all! Your patience and perseverance are awsome! "Don't tell people how to do things, tell them what to do and let them surprise you with their results." - George S. Patton |

| Posted 2 months ago I know it's a little late in the game but when we (dispatchers) mentioned to our command staff that this week was appreciation week for us we were told that we cannot be considered telecommunicators because we refuse to take messages. Now please tell me who, at a main communication center, if you are on the radio takes messages for anyone??? I told the captain as well as the sergeant that all we need is to be trying to take a message then emergency traffic comes through and we don't catch it because we are too busy on the phone trying to take a message then we have to ask the officer to repeat their traffic. So our appreciation week didn't go very well!!! "Help me today to be a help and example to all. To bring strength and encourgement wherever I am, Throught Jesus Christ my Savior, Amen |
