Hello everyone. I am a police officer from California and a Jets fan. I am planning a trip for the weekend of Oct. 12 to see the Jets play the Bengels. This is my first Jets game, but I've been to NY before and been in NJ.

Anyone have any suggestions for where I should stay? I am bringing my wife and daughter who is 2.

Also, I would like catch a Mets game, so a hotel somewhere between
the two stadiums would be nice.

Lastly, anyone know good areas for seats?

The best place to stay would be in NJ, near the Meadowlands. There are a lot of hotels in the area, but do your homework.. As for seeing the Mets in October, they would have to be in the playoffs.

My Braves don't look so good, so the Mets probably will be in the playoffs.

I too an a Jets Fan. You can stay in a nice hotel right in NYC. The port authority bus temrinal runs buses on game day directly from the city to the game and back fun through the first quarter and start again at the begining of the 4th quarter. I think it was $14.00 round trip. It is only about 15 miles from the NYC terminal to the Meadowlands.

Oldsple's suggestion is a good one. If you can find a reasonably affordable hotel room in NYC you will have easy access to Giants Stadium via the bus. Hotel rooms in NYC can be extremely expensive. Not that you need me to tell you this, but check out www.priceline.com for deals.
