Drivers License Check Foreign
Posted 3 months ago This may sound like a silly question to ask, but in the past I never came across this issue in my department, however since 911 it has become a huge problem. How does one run a foreign license plate check from places like Egypt, Iraq, Bosnia, Rome etc? |

| Posted 3 months ago Are you trying to run a foreign drivers license or a foreign license plate? |

| Posted 3 months ago Foreign Drivers License is what I,m trying to run. I had never done it before and now we keep getting them on a regular. Problem is procedure is not familiar to anybody in our department so pretty much I,m asking for my own records. |

| Posted 3 months ago Based on the countries of origin, I suggest you contact your local FBI office... |

| Posted 3 months ago The layout of the plates in DC is either a D (diplomat) or S (staff), followed by the country code, followed by a three-digit number (for example, S FC 001). In New York, it's the other way around (001 FC S). The reason for this is that some countries are limited to a fifty-mile radius from their embassy or consulate, so the authorities have to be able to tell the two cities apart. All their LP's are coded by country origin. |

| Posted 3 months ago Check with your local Federal agency...they handle these issues on a daily basis and can instruct Law Enforcement Agencies {FBI or ICE}. |

| Posted 3 months ago don't try to check with INS or ICE either. they can't check an international DL even if it is conected to a green card or passport |

| Posted 2 months ago The only way we are able to run an international license is to teletype Interpol. Contact your Department of Law Enforcement help desk and ask for Interpol's ORI ~ the request is a simple teletype but the response is not instant.
