| Posted 7 months ago No it's not a good idea, they have the advantage so I just use my pepper spray. Pain is weakness leaving the body. Obstacles are what we see when we take our eyes off the goal. |

| Posted 7 months ago I don't fight with pitts. I call animal control. It's thier job. |

| Posted 7 months ago My pits have thought about fighting with me for a second on a couple of occasions. After looking into my eyes, they thought better of it... :) Troll...the other white meat. It's "what's for dinner". FORTES FORTUNA ADIUVAT |

| Posted 7 months ago Seriously - anyone that fights pitbulls against one another is a weak minded, pathetic individual that needs to be kicked in the nuts.
If you know of anyone fighting them against each other, let me know - I'll gladly travel to kick someone like that in the nuts. Troll...the other white meat. It's "what's for dinner". FORTES FORTUNA ADIUVAT |

| Posted 7 months ago I have A Chinese Shar Pei.They are similar to Pitts and are bred for hundreds of years as fighting dogs. I would never fight my dog. I think its inhumane to take pleasure in seeing animals tear each other to pieces for your sick enjoyment.

| Posted 7 months ago i hate what small minded pit owners do with their pitts.. I would love to put a vest on my dog and have it read "My Daddy is a Law Enforcement Officer" because so many people are afraid of "Bubba".. he loves people, he just dont get alone with other BIG dogs.. |

| Posted 7 months ago We are having problems in my area with ptis getting out and killing other dogs, horses and even attaching people. The city at one time was trying get it passed to where it was a crime to have a pit in the city limits. They have even went to the extreme as reqiring owners of the criminal dogs to either put them down or pay an extremly high fine. I have only one dog left now. He does not even know he is a dog. He is always wanting to play and be inside the house but the cats scare him. He is very loving and has to be touching someone all the time.. |

| Posted 7 months ago My Pit doesn't like other dogs very much, but he loves people, meeting new people and getting attention from them. The only time he will growl at a person is if they come into my house with an aggressive stance. He's always looking for attention, it can get annoying at times, but I still love him. He's a butthead haha Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired, signifies in the final sense a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed.

| Posted 7 months ago AND people who fight pits should be pushed down the stairs a few times till they are no longer a threat to the dogs Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired, signifies in the final sense a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed.

| Posted 7 months ago RPL says ... Seriously - anyone that fights pitbulls against one another is a weak minded, pathetic individual that needs to be kicked in the nuts. Couldn't agree more. It also makes them a felon in my state. I've made my living working dogs for the past 43 years. It seriously disgusts me to even think someone could do such a thing with a dog. Beyond fatigue lies compensatory hypertrophy |

| Posted 3 months ago people that fight pitbulls are the ones giving them such a bad rep for being the "mean" dog that everyone seems to be scared of. NOBODY SHOULD FIGHT PITS or any other dog for that matter. thats just cruel |

| Posted 3 months ago Sadly, there have been 2 incidents in Anchorage in the past week or so involving pits attacking children. One victem, a 6 yr old girl, died as a result of her injuries. The dog that attacked her was her family's dog. They still have 2 more dogs, and one more child...... Unfortunately these 2 events may lead to an attempt to enact breed specific laws in Anchorage. Thanl God I live in Wasilla. without truth there is no justice |

| Posted 3 months ago Your dog is a sweetie. I love the little patches on his nose. I want to know how long it took you to put his eyeliner on, though! Too bad about the kids. Do you know if those dogs were full-blood or mixes? Seems like the mixes in pits don't have the sweet disposition like the full-bloods. Any thoughts? |

| Posted 3 months ago I think the one involved in the fatal was full, the other was a lab cross. I don't think bloodlines can be blamed, as there are dogs of every type and cross that get violent. I believe it is a failure to be responsible on the owner's part. If you have a dog that is overly aggressive, it needs to be solved, if it can't be solved you need to put the dog down. The dog in the fatal had bitten his owners on several occasions previously, but it was not reported. Now the dog tore out their 6 yr olds throat, then bit the babysitter, and went after a neighbor that was trying to help. The neighbor shot the dog, injuring it, and avoided being bitten. The owners say the dog 'snapped'. It seems to me the dog was merely following an established pattern. On another note, that sweet guy in the picture is part of my heart. His name is Petey. I've had him since he was about 8 weeks old and I love him like no other. He is extremely well trained and is absolutely my dog. If my hubby and I go for a walk and I let my hubby take Petey's leash (I believe even an extremely well trained dog should ALWAYS be on a leash) I can give Petey the hand signal to sit from a block away and he will darn near bruise his butt sitting down so fast! EVEN SO, I carry a sidearm at all times when I have Petey outside. This is so I can put him down if he attacks someone. It would kill me to do it, but it would kill me worse if someones child got their throat torn out when it was within my power to prevent it. without truth there is no justice |
