| Posted 4 months ago Any authentic Egyptian food that comes close to my mom's or my grandma's cooking. Especially stuffed grape-leaves, taboula, fried pita chips with hummus, and a side of big red and green olives with feta or white cheese. And any good southern or 'hood' style mac-n-cheese (baked), extra crunchy (break your teeth) fried chicken and/or shrimp (aka skrimps, lol), fresh home cooked cornbread and biscuits, collards cooked with hamhocks...damn, I'm hungry as hell now. Don't know if I'll ever be able to eat that stuff again, but I can dream :P |
