| Posted 5 months ago I was never into mounting animals...they run too fast! :-) I'm just kidding! I have a nice Texas whitetail and an antelope mounted and I also have that same fake talking deer head. It works great for the devil nephew when he's visiting though. I just make the deer say go to bed...and he's laying still and asleep in no time! :-) I haven't mounted most of my animals because the Air Force keeps me moving all over the world and Okinawa Japan and a few other places haven't been too conducive to mounts. As I get closer to retirement though, I plan on adding some more to my collection. My father went on an African safari and got all of his animals mounted in some form or fashion (rugs, wall hangings, shoulder mounts, etc) and it looks great. He has a guiding/outfitting business in Colorado so he also has elk, bear, mule deer, antelope, etc mounts all over the house. My definition of too many mounts is when you run out of wall space. Of course, if you build another room...problem solved! :-) Be Safe! --B |

What's the name of this Zoo again? How big is your house anyway?.....lol I have 6 Whitetail bucks all shoulder mounts, had a wild turkey in flight mounted, but donated it to a local sporting goods store for display there. I have one wall that is shelved, and I have 52 deer plates and 18 Deer statues displayed. I have a huge cardboard box filled with whitetail antlers that I just cut off and saved, I enjoy going thru that box from time to time and reliving some of the hunts. Support bacteria. They're the only culture some people have. |
