Has anyone seen the "wild police video" episode where a K9 officer is in a flight with a black narcotics suspect and his K9 and himself are scuffling.  The man gets a hold of his gun and wacks the dog.  He gets to his feet somehow and tries to shoot the LEO but the gun jammed in the ground when he hit the dog.  The LEO had time to reach for his back up and take him down??

It was a great and LUCKY video!!  I did notice though that in the heat of the moment, he forgot which side his back up weapon was on.  It's that kind of hesitation that just adds to his luck!

Great video!

What I am wondering is how did he get his dog and two guns on the plane?

That was an interesting video, and that officer was very lucky.  For those that hadn't ever seen it the K9 in the video was only trained as a drug dog, it wasn't a trained attack dog, which is why the dog didn't immeadiately tear the crap out of the suspect.

lol my bad about the "flight" instead of "fight".

But yea, the dog was a trained search dog, not attack dog.  Poor guy got whacked twice too.  The second time he cowered away but it was ok because his trainer had a chance to take em down!

Did you notice the officers confusion in reaching for his backup weapon as well?

Sorry, just one of my pet peaves..........we don't have "attack" dogs, we have "bite and hold" dogs.  :)
