Brotherhood of the Badge is a company founded by Police Officers for Police Officers (deputies, troopers, agents, correction officers) we are a not for profit organization. All proceeds from merchandise and donations go to help fallen or injured officers. Take a look at our site and let us know what you think. www.brotherhoodofthebadge.com. Austin, Check out www.policevets.org, there are many officers in this membership that need assistance. The disabled and injured officer (public safety group) are one of the most forgotten groups in this country. This is not a new problem, but has been kept very quiet, for obvious reasons. There are roughly 1.4 million police/sheriff etc. permanently injured officers in this country. From castasprohically disabled to the ambulatory, many departments abandon their permanently injured officers from LOD injuries. It's just not cost effective. Read the hundreds of officer written stories on how their treatment after injury borders on negligent treatment. All these officers, who though their departments meant what they said concerning taking care of their own after "that fateful' incident; shockingly realize after risking their life and limb, proper treatment is far from a given. Get together with George Brown, the founder, a Retired Sgt., whose own life tumbled into a tornado after his career ending injury occurred. After forming PoliceVets.com., he came to find out he was far from the only one being treated in the fashion. Hook up, there may be a complementing of eachother within the two organizations. |

I currently have started the following groups and articles on here: Utahsfallen.org, and articles on meth labs in Utah which in the past killed or seriously injured Public Safety Employees.
