What Books Should Be Made Into Movies That Haven't Been Done Yet?

Posted 3 months ago We've all read books or stories that would make great movies, but nobody has bothered with them yet. I personally think the entire Wheel of Time Series by the late Robert Jordan would make an excellent epic movie or trilogy. |

| Posted 3 months ago The Bible.....jk. Well there have been some books that were already made into ovies, but the movies were WAAYY different than the books. Like "Jurassic Park" and "White Fang." Not to mention the books turned Movie that were then remade like 30 times since the conception of moving pictures. Like "Peter Pan" and lets not forget the Mad Max: Beyond the Thunderdome-esque continuation of "Peter Pan" in "Hook." I Swear that movie was done by the same guy. I for the most part despise remakes. Here's two to make into movies: "The one that got away" you about that SAS dude in the Gulf War whose team got captured but he escaped to I think Iran or Saudi Arabia and the next Movie would be a documnetary from Erwin Rommel's log of his WWI combat actions "Infantry Attacks." This book was used by the German Army in post WWI as a text Book-Infantry manual. It should show how he was pretty well one of the inventors of modern Spec Ops warfare. |

Based on a true story. Very good book but a few parts seem a little far fetched. |

| Posted 3 months ago Bravo Two Zero by Andy McNab(SAS). Iraq 1990.His account of his units battle against the elements and trying to evade capture. He then gives an account of his capture and subsequent torture. Claimed to be factual..........................but many disbelieve his account. Nevertheless it would make a good film. what part is questionable? His torture or what they went through before the capture? What I have seen on the history channel about them was pretty interesting |

Try this book,The Real Bravo Two Zero, by Michael Asher. A lot of McNab`s accounts, in his book, were never mentioned in his debriefing. Still make a good film though. Utrinque Paratus |

The last book in the series was basically done already, just in rough draft form. I think he had a few chapters left to go when he passed away, but he left enough notes behind (including details on how the story will end) that a few select people are finishing it up. They want to make sure it reads exactly how he intended. Those are big shoes to fill though. The man was a genius. |

| Posted 3 months ago I'd like to see the two W.E.B. Griffin series, Badge of Honor and Men of War, made into movies. They could do a series like Band of Brothers on HBO. |

| Posted 3 months ago My Losing Season by Pat Conroy. Story of Conroy's senior year on the Citadel basketball team. The same guy who wrote "The Lords Of Discipline" and "The Great Santini" both of which were made into movies. It's all autobiographical stuff, his father was a fighter pilot in the Corps at the same time he attended the Citadel. |
