Posted 2 months ago Hello everybody. My name's Josh, I'm from the Southeast Louisiana area. I'm 18 years old. I graduated from high school in 2007. It has been a life long dream to become a police officer and follow in the footsteps of my uncle. I started college, but will be taking some time off after this semester. I will be having reconstructive knee surgery due to a previous high school football injury. I am looking at six months recovery time to be back at 100%. I am hoping to jump into a law enforcement career as soon as my knee is good to go.. My biggest setbacks as of right now are my knee, and my age. My knee will be 100% after proper physical therapy and I do not feel this will hold me back from anything. As far as age go, I know of a few local law enforcement agencies that will hire at 18/19 to work corrections, then put you on the road when you turn 21. Hopefully, this will be what I'll experience. Anyhow, as far as hobbies, I just got rid of my 2001 Kawasaki ZX6-R. I was really big into riding motorcycles, particularly sport bikes. However, since injuring my knee, I've been out of work and the bike had to go, unfortunately. Hopefully upon entering my career, I will be financially stable enough to purchase another bike. |
