Back Stabbing Officers!!!! READ IT

Posted about 1 month ago Ok... I need to vent! Does anybody know what I am talking about when I say I despise BACK STABBING OFFICERS!! In my department, which I won't name, we have a new supervisor. This new supervisor is being typical in that they are "cleaning house" and getting rid of the "lazy officers". Well... that must have put a flame under the a** of this one female officer in particular who is trying to climb the ladder of success. Aparently she decided it was necessary to "rat out" other officers when she noticed something in their performance that was less than the standard. Keep in mind that these incidents she is observing are petty BS and have nothing to do with her. WHY is it necassary for her to open her big fat mouth??!!!! It is obvious she is trying to score points with the new supervisor in an attempt to get herself noticed and get that pat on the back. She can't use the excuse of these incidents being an officer breaking the law, or even policy for that matter.... 9 times out of 10 she even exaggerates the incident to make it more than it is. The supervisor "has to " do an investigation on all the complaints, so what does that cause?? It causes officers to sweat and worry about their jobs while they are not even at work, it causes a lack of moral and teamwork, and it also causes your fellow officers not to trust you. The thing that bothers me is the supervisor is just eating this stuff up, and the back stabbing officer is getting off on it! If you look back, 6 months ago, this particular officer was nothing like this. Somehow she got it into her head that she was going to be promoted because of her time with the department..... SO she is going that extra mile to stab her fellow officers in the back to make herself look good. It is too bad that myself or another officer could be the ones pulling her out of a gun fight one day so she could go home to her family. It is just a shame that afterwards she may try to hang us out to dry saying we violated policy while saving her life. I have met people like this in my career. Officers that will run into the office and grab the Sgt. and say... "gee, Sarge.. who is driving vehicle P1234?" The Sgt. would say, "hmmm I don't know, I'd have to look, why do you ask?" The officer then says, " oh, well I was running radar on Main St. and saw one of our police cars #P1234 going 65 in a 45, and he wasn't going to a call." The Sgt. then looks into it, finds the officer and confronts him with what another officer noticed about his driving. Now, the officer driving P1234 doesn't know who "ratted him out" but how is he then supposed to trust anyone after that??? I am saying to all you BACK STABBING OFFICERS out there reading this... if you have a problem with another officer.... How about going to them face to face and confronting them if what you see bothers you that much. Don't go sneaking behind their back making "anonymous complaints" and getting your co-workers in trouble. If that is what you do, you have no business in law enfocement and you need to be greeting folks at Walmart! Thank You for taking the time to read my emotional rant! I needed to get that out. Please feel free to comment on this as I would like to see what other officers think about this.

| Posted about 1 month ago Don't worry...the Sarge will get tired of her BS and know that he would likely get reported to the LT.... also for some BS... an anonymous note in a mailbox for her might help as long as it's not a THREATENING note, but more of a teammate reminder notice... | Posted about 1 month ago Honestly, it wasn't me that got in trouble. However, I could see where I could if I ever did anything. It is a shame because good officers are "walking on egg shells" to avoid this particular officer so they wont get ratted out. It is interfering with their work and the way they would normally act. |

| Posted about 1 month ago What comes around, goes around...Time to put extra eyes on her now. I'm 100% sure she isn't perfect either. Watch her coming out of bar after a few too many. Taking 1 hr lunch break etc etc. Time to turn the tables on the b*tch!. My dept had its fair share of rats. The gang pulled together and made sure it came to a end quickly!!!!!!It'll end soon enough if you all pull together |

| Posted about 1 month ago Some officers work hard and succeed with "elbow grease" and other officers succeed with "nose grease". Hang in there. I am a firm believer in karma. |

| Posted about 1 month ago Hang in there. I had the same situation. The Backstabber eventually backstabbed the Commander. Fortunately his Commander realized what was happening. The Backstabbers career ended in a way he hadn't anticipated. |

| Posted about 1 month ago I will never understand why people like this become cops. My kindergarten teacher, bless her heart, never liked tattletales, and she taught every student she ever had that people who do things they deserve to get caught for will get caught eventually..they don't need help, and tattling makes the tattler look bad. A lesson a lot of these backstabbers could use to learn...too bad 6 year olds can figure this out but full grown adults can't. My shift's problem child has left our platoon and moved onto a position where he will be working with those of a maturity level more fit to his...elementary school students :D If you don't stand behind our troops, feel free to stand in front of them. |

| Posted about 1 month ago Females just don't get the boys world. Look at the kids when their young. The girls always tatltail on each other it's like they thrive on it. I work with one like this and I pulled her aside and gave her a piece of my mind. It's a good thing my supervisors know me because she tried to say I threatend her and would not back her up on a call. I have my moral obligation to full fill my duties and even a rat like her would never make me lower my standerds. I hope you have a strong female on your force that can confront her. Keep your chin up and do your job with confidence. |

| Posted about 1 month ago What goes around comes around. Band together and if it is just this one Officer then it isn't too hard to turn the tables on the person. When everybody starts complaining on one officer they really get concerned and will either transfer her or put the pressure on her to shut up. |

I'm female and I"m NOT a back stabber. Judging from your avatar, you are female and you wrote what you did? Nice of you to throw your own gender under the bus. You have just insulted a lot of female officers who DO get police work and are NOT backstabbers. Are you forgeting that you don't have a penis and are female?

| Posted about 1 month ago I have often had to deal with these snakes plenty of times! There are a few ways to put them in place. I often call them out on their behavior in front of other Officers, including the supervisors. I'll even do it in front of the Chief. I don't really care if they get offended or if I get into trouble. It often stops this behavior for awhile, or they learn not to direct it towards someone else. Other times, I use that particular Officer's name when confronted with something they "snitched about." It discredits them. The snitches are very obvious. You'll know who they are. Nothing is kept confidential. Supervisors come from the ranks of Officers, and they still have friends there. They still tell their friends or brag about who they wrote up, or talked to.......Those friends are the ones you drill for information. It's VERY easy to find out that way.

| Posted about 1 month ago Been there, done that - can't count the times. They are snakes, they're 'sub-standard, as they can't hold their own, as they have to redirect and play attention elsewhere. They are sad individuals, as their bad back-ups also. What's their need.? Who the hell knows. There is a difference between serious misconduct and petty oversights. Strickly vindictiveness, jealousy and all those other great words....................Give it right back................... |

Be assured, cheese eaters don't get ahead...
