They're Gay

Posted 2 months ago For the first time in my short 28 years, I'm the owner of two male puppies. One was already fixed when I got him, the other one is going to be borrowed for breeding, then fixed when he's old enough. I've noticed for the last couple of weeks that my dogs are totally gay. I mean, they do such gay things that they still shock me. I put an end to the gayness when I see them doing something, and its curbed it down a lot, but it still happens on occasion...like just now. Is this normal behavior for dogs? Will they stop, or will it continue until I buy a female (not anytime soon). Will having my other dog fixed solve the problem? Yes, to me having gay dogs is a problem. If it helps to know, they are both small breeds (fixed one is a Rat Terrier and the other one is a Jack Russell/Rat Terrier mix). Thanks.

| Posted 2 months ago ROFLMAO Yes, if you get the other dog fixed it will curb his animal "Urges" and it is normal the have a natural instinct and without a female around they will hump whatever is handy like your leg, a stuffed animal, the couch or each other LOL Your dogs are not homosexual they just cannot control thier urges. (Much like some guys I know) |

The Alpha dog is establishing dominance on the neutered dog.
Once he accomplishes that task you are next.
Make sure your neighbors don’t see that because they will be calling you more than just gay.

| Posted 2 months ago Animals don't have the same "Hang ups" that we advanced and civilized humans have. They don't think about such things and sex to animals (With few exeptions) is not performed for pleasure. To your dogs, Licking each other (I'm trying to be as sensative as possible and not offend anyone and this is very hard while I'm am literally laughing my @$$ off) is the same as licking themselves. They derive no sexual pleasure from it they are just cleaning. The same applies to Smelling each others hind quarters. with thier hieghtened senses they can tell just from the smell how healthy the other animal is, what they have been eating and whether the other dog is a threat to them. Sinse your "Fixed" dog has no, or very little, distinctive scent your other dog is having difficulty telling his sex. They may also "Flea bite" each other in a display of dominance once your other dog is fixed this will most likely stop since there won't be a need for establishing who is alpha male. |

| Posted 2 months ago OK, to clear up a couple of things. Yes, they like to 69 each other and its just wrong. Yes, I understand about the dominance thing. Its funny because the 'dominant' dog is half the size of the enuch dog and is constantly getting his ass kicked by him. I think the de-nutted dog actually volunteers his time with all this gay business, which makes it even wronger. I guess I just have to accept the fact that my dogs are gay and buy them pink tutus and sparkly collars.

They were introduced to a couple of female dogs (same breeds) while they were a lot younger. The female dogs didn't like them at all, which might be the root cause of all this behavior :P They're little egos got bruised. I'm going to try talking them back over in a few weeks. The one with all his male parts is going to eventually be bred with one of those females...unless he turns out to be too gay.

| Posted 2 months ago Your puppies aren't gay. ha ha. Pups explore the world the only way they know how. Sexuality to a dog is more instinct than anything else. There is also pack structure, dominence and many other behaviors. In addition to all that exploring etc, sometimes they just play. We have a saying in the dog world when someone asks why a dog can "do that". the answer is simple; because they can.

| Posted 2 months ago EW! I'd forgotten about the Ugliest Dog In The World pic! The thing is always chewing its toenails which makes it ugly AND gross. Ok, I think that if my gay dogs saw THAT, they'd probably kill it thinking its something F'd up. Like a giant rat.
