Okay,

This June it would have been 1 year since I was not selected to join the LPD.  I was told then that I should wait at least a year to reapply.  Well, it's coming up fast and I can't wait.  My only problem is the reason why I wasn't selected in the first place.  I made it all the way to the very end of the hiring process last time and passed the pychological test but was told (for some reason they could not give more detail) that the pychological evaluator/doctor said I wasn't ready.  I am worried about this on my second go around because I don't understand why he wouldn't think I was ready and the Personnel Officer at the time (because it is LPD Policy) could not give me more details.  Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions.  At this point I am assuming that whatever made the evaluator think I wasn't ready wasn't something I could correct and hopefully will not keep me from getting selected this time.

Thanks in Advance for any and all suggestions and help!

Marcy... You appear to have been honest in going through the process and trying to work out whatever you perceived to be the problem. Not knowing you personally and not knowing the results of your psych eval, I'd say it would be nearly impossible for anyone to say why they refused your application. Best to probably search your soul for that answer since you are the only one that knows with any certainty.

After yor interview, did you feel that you answed all the questions as best you could.  Did you hesitate on any of your answers or gave uncertain answers?  Thes could be some of the problems the Dr saw.

Thanks for the replys guys...

I don't feel that I was in any way misleading between my questions on the tests and when I talked to the pychologist.....I was completely honest about everything...he did seem to spend alot of time on my "religous beliefs" which he had me explain several times about my involvement with my church.  I go to a Baptist Church and my husband and I teach the 3 year old Sunday school class and we teach the K-5 Sparks in AWANA.  But I don't see where that should have been a problem???  Also, he seemed concered with the fact that I don't get a long with my biological Father.  ( I don't mind talking about this )  He seemed somewhat confused by the fact that I had moved on with my life and did not concern myself with the life of my Father.   So other than those two subjects in particular the interview was fairly quick, he just went over about 10 to 20 of my answers on the test (and you all know how many questions are on those things) and that was it.

Thanks for the continued feedback....I am an open book so any questions, feel free to ask.
