The Race angle to these shootings is media driven and bolstered by the likes of Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson who see Racism in everything that they look at involving the police.  Getting the facts and letting the Criminal Justice System deal with any trials does not sell enough papers or stir up community anger and resentment.  The media loves a story involving a cop shooting a minority individual because they can extrapolate the story for weeks, even months, if they keep fanning the flames (50 shots, 50 shots) and covering the story of Sharpton or Jackson's involvement in the case, or the demonstrations for "JUSTICE" (pronounced REVENGE) with no regard to facts or legal procedures, just innuendo, misinformation, and outright race-baiting. As long as the media are not held responsible for their irresponsible reporting then nothing will change.

I like that from Martin L King I think I'll make it a bumper sticker and place on an un willing pertisapent and see what happens to the car....My point here is that car would suffer all kinds of damage. Oh and that things never change. Why finish school and better your life when you can make 100k a year, not pay taxes, oh and get a free work out everytime the cops come to arrest you. oh and did I forget the polititions keep letting you out of jail... Why would anyone want to be a citizen that is responcable for their own actions........

Here is what gets me...  The Chinese and Japanese were forced to work on building the U.S. railroads, the Japanese were thrown into camps during WW2 in the U.S. and yet, you never ever hear them complain... just something to think about...

 

I'll do you one better, The people who were native to this country were slaughtered wholesale yet you don't see anyone in the media every day talking about the oppression of the "Red man"

Because the ones screaming about oppression the loudest don't really give a damn about any other racial group other than they're own along with they're own personal agendas. Look how much oppression happened to the Jews in History. They have been oppressed WAY MORE than most in history.

And yet, they pulled themselves from the bootstraps, and prospered.

Well, we could argue forever about "Who was more oppressed" but the simple fact is that there have been many oppressed people throughout history including Jews, Gentiles, Hispanic, Asian, Black, Indian, Children and Women but none seem to revell in their oppression as much as the Black minorities.

Is it just me, or is it that discrimination is just a way to justify one's circumstances..  Much like the poor are referred to as "less fortunate," which would imply that those who are "fortunate" (pronounced RICH) are that way as a matter of luck of the draw..  It makes it so much easier to justify "economic redistribution" (pronounced WELFARE), as well as other needless tax-and-spend programs..  These programs further reinforce in the heads of those who are "dependant" upon them, that they are second-rate..  If the government did not support a permanent welfare state, it would force people to become independent, they would be in a less fragile mind-state being that they are not dependent upon others to support them, and may be less likely to encounter law enforcement personell..  The second issue we may want to address would be the media and the Sharpton/Jackson coalition for a divided America..  This combination poisons the minds of a great deal of people and makes the job of LEOs harder..  The media promotes the ultra-liberal agendas of the Jackons. Sharptons, Pelosis, etc of this country, not to mention they don't understand the difference between pertinent facts, circumstancial facts, and pure BS..  They tend to focus of circumstancial facts (facts which bear little to no weight in the outcome of a situation) and pure BS..  This country has also been corrupted by Hollywood..  Stars think that since they play an "important" character, that they should be able to tell us how to think, feel, and vote..  The fact is most stars know less than the typical American citizen (who doesn't know Jack, either)..  Its the blind leading the blind in this country, and its because nobody cares..  More people care who the next American Idol is, than who the next President is..  And the majority of the seats in congress are safe because of the way the districts have been drawn up..  So it seems as though, we're screwed either way..  The Sharptons and Jacksons will continue to haunt us for years to come..  They play on a powerful emotion, ENVY..  They can preach that LEOs have power and privledge, and that minorities do not..  They make them envy what they do not have, and can get them to unite against a percieved threat (the rich, the police, the whites, etc), and ignore a real threat (that Sharpton and Jackson are brainwashing people and setting us back decades in race relations)..

I will say it. There is no minority anymore except a white man. We are the ones experiencing the vicious backlash of all the injustice which has gone before. Hatred begetting hatred. We have been led to beleive that only those of a non white heritage can experience discrimination or racism. That only whites practice racism, that you cannot have pride in your anglo saxon or celtic heritage for to express such a sentiment is racist. While people like the Rev. Wright of Obama's dissowned past can express and shout all of his own brand of racism under the guise of a repressed and righteous anger. While illegal immigrants flood this country and the rights for which our forefathers of ALL RACE AND CREED gave thier lives for are given away. Squandered. Yet we.....as men of WHITE COLOR....must simply keep our damned mouths shut......for to open them immediately and unjustly condemns us as sheet wearing racists. I say NO MORE.  THIS CANNOT STAND!...Have we been so blinded and brainwashed by a liberal, christian hating agenda that we cannot see that no race or color has a monopoly on racism, or wickedness, or evil. That all men have practiced it just as all men of every nation have pursued justice and goodwill. You will have black history month shoved down your throat but to suggest a white history month would be to commit social suicide when all you wanted was to watch old reruns of archie bunker.  And of all professions that a white man could hold not one is more reviled than that of the police officer. A white police officer. They cry out for justice and for the hate to stop while irrationally spewwing thier hate upon this man and unjustly sentencing him to a crime he may never have committed. A white police officer is now as firmly under the gun as ever a black police officer ever was. And i will take on all comers in defense of that stance.

All of these divisions in our own country & society are contributing to it's degeneration. These friggin' hate-mongerers need to be exposed for what they are and the media needs to be challenged for it's stances on these issues.
