Term of Use

Posted 2 months ago the website has a Term of Use User Agreement at the bottom of the page and i would say that 99% of the new members do not read. when i joined the website i admit that i never read it and actually had no idea it was there. i have however read it several times since being here. i have noticed that new arrivals are being warned by the MODERATORS on just about a daily bases to view the Term of Use User Agreement and to obey it before they are sanctioned. is there a way to have the Term of Use placed at the beginning of the login/profile process and have it atleast checked off that its been read by the user before they are allowed to the site? kind of like when you download something to your computer, you have to click on agree or disagree. i know that most would just scroll down to the bottom and click agree without reading it anyways, but atleast the "i didnt know about it or read it" would come into play. | Posted 2 months ago We have suggested something similar to this and Im not sure but when you do sign up you have to check that box saying you have read the TOU's. The problem is most don't read it! |

| Posted 2 months ago If we could have all newcomers go right to the Introduction Thread before anything else, that would eliminate a lot of issues. Everything is spelled out for them. I have read them many times and still don't know them all! |

| Posted 2 months ago It seems to me that hcgale is on to something. I'll admit that I didn't read it when I joined either, however if it had been placed before me as something I to read before joining, I would have. Obviously, not everyone would but some would therefore heading off some of the problems. 2 Cor. 5:17 "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold all things have become new." |
