Name's Josh Billingsley. I'm a Criminal Justice student in Michigan. I'm 25, and live in one of the most violently charged cities in the United States : Flint, Michigan. Growing up here I've seen alot of things that many haven't. The violence, and the crime rate here is REAL and people that get involved with crime activity from what I've seen in this area, DON'T get out of it. Harder to rehabilitate criminals from this kind of lifestyle because that's all most of the criminals in this city have ever known. From drug-related crime, to gang violence, Flint has it all. In just the last 8 years, Flint has racked up an astonishing number of murders to go unsolved. 432 to be exact. I think these statistics and the things I've seen growing up in this city have motivated my desire to fight crime, and I hope to go into the field with an outlook that will motivate me to be a great LEO. Ultimately, my goal is to make Detective, and serve to solve some of these acts that go unpunished. On more of a personal note. My girlfriend and I of two years live together in an apartment with our Cocker Spaniel, and Maine Coon. No kids yet (thank god)! We both are in school, and hope to move out into a safer area once we both graduate in t-minus 1 year and counting. Anyway, glad to be here. I hope to learn alot being a part of this community.
