I'll state plainly, I am opposed to the electric chair. In fact, I think they should use an electric bleacher. More bang for the buck so to speak. I'm all for capitol punishment. To the argument that it is not a deterrant, I can only say, the person executed will never kill again.

I'm pro capital punishment and think they should add on all "career criminals" not just murderers. We send these guys to jail, the work out constantly, hang with other violent offenders and hone their criminal trades. We house them, feed them and give them medical treatment. If we let them out, they are usually right back in. So just put them to sleep like you would a vicious dog and nobody will get bit again. JMO.

I also to think that they should bring back the Eye for an Eye, and public execution and let the people watch, what would really be great is if they could put it on a pay per view and the money raised from people watching could go to the victums family. We over all as a nation have allowed these horrible crimes to go some what unpunished, we lock up give them a education, free food and a place to stay what I ask is so Da** hard about that. In general the public does not get to see someone die for there crimes that they have committed we only see the victum who died at there hands, so as for Capital Punishment we need to fry more of them that is siiting so happly on death row. They have costed us enough money already.

My only problem with the death penalty is that it isn't applied quickly enough and often enough. Oh, one more thing, I think it should be done publicly such as hangings in the town square. People need to see that there are consequences.

like I said before you can offer these welfare babies an education but you can't make them take it. Poor kid is to stupid too realize how stupid he is.

This state recently put a POS to death. He had murdered a police officer from Memphis. We were positioned between the pro and the anti capitol punishment folks, just standing by. The local new channel was conducting a live interview just a few feet from our command vehicle (my post) I was watching the interview on a TV I had in the truck. when I saw where they were doing the interview, I stepped out of the vehicle just to observe. They were interviewing an anti-capitol punishment person. The cameraman and the reporter, both had their backs to me. The person being interviewed was facing me (well the reporter and cameraman). As the interview progressed, I saw this man walk up fairly close to the person being interviewed. He held up a sign (remember, this is a live interview). The sign read; I hope he screams like a girl. I started laughing, couldn't help it folks. The reporter turned and looked at me, I jumped back into the back of the Com vehicle. The person working the radios and I were both laughing very hard. I'd bet a dollar to a donut the man was from Memphis PD. I don't know that for a fact. He seemed to have gotten lost in the crowd before he could be approached. None-the-less, it was broadcast live on Channel 5. Ya gotta love it.

Asking about peoples views about Capital punishment.  Why are you for it or against it.  If you also state if you are male or female in your reply as well will be very helpful to me as well.  For this is a paper I am writing for my Sociology paper.  Thank you to everyone that helps me out.

I am a firm proponent of the death penalty and also advocate for the installation of an "Express Lane" so that we can cease supporting these POS during their lengthy appeals process.
