Posted 5 months ago please help me in honoring the fallen security officers that have lost there lives on a daily basis in the line of duty. I was just informed today by a security guard captain that he makes felony stops on a daily basis and takes people to jail. So it had me thinking i am starting a fund together so we can build a memorial for these brave guys that proudly wear the plastic badge and have the longest flashlights, they have walked where none of us would want to. So please send money my way and if you have any ideas for the memorial please past here like location what it should look like and so on, so please take the time and honor our knob turner door locker. |

| Posted 5 months ago OK, I know that this was posted in jest, but consider the following list of links of SECURITY personnel that have been killed in the last few years while doing their thankless jobs, sometimes while solo and without adequate defensive weapons in areas that LEOs wouldn't work solo and unarmed. Before you flame me, consider that I have worked security for many years prior to being a LEO, and am currently working in the security industry again. NO, this list doesn't compete with the numbers of LODD LEOs but can't you cut us a little slack?

| Posted 5 months ago I think this one should be locked immediately because this is going to turn into something much worst. I can see it already that this is gonna take a wrong turn quick. Granted the whole security making federal stops is funny. Broken By Faith Renewed By Sacrifice |

| Posted 5 months ago Agreed.... no good is going to come of this! They told (us) to open up the Embassy, or "we'll blow you away." And then they looked up and saw the Marines on the roof with these really big guns, and they said in Somali, "Igaralli ahow," which means "Excuse me, I didn't mean it, my mistake".

OK, So you've got a clown that sounds to me like he's IMPERSONATING a police officer.... I'm thinking that maybe some added questioning of this joker would have been warranted so that you could "praise" all his hard work and find out if he's been COMMITTING felonies....just my .02 cents worth (especially since you're here in Wis and I understand the Wis laws pertaining to security....) Didn't we have some tool going around recently pulling people over in southern WI or northern IL? I could have sworn it was close to my area. I've been trying to look up the story. Wonder if that was one of Them. |

To be honest, after reading the post[s] above, I was pretty pissed off! Reason? The fact is that many hard working, dedicated, and professional Private Security Guards [I prefer to acknowledge them as Officers] have lost there lives on the job. Fortunately, after a 10 count of WOO-SAW, I realized that not all law enforcement personnel understand the importance which private security or private security officers perform for law enforcement and/or the community in general. For over 15 years I have proudly worked within both fields, and yes, I have made many good felony arrests as a Security Officer. In all fairness, I understand the frustration of having to deal with a “Want-A-Be” that does not understand that most cops don’t like having there badges polished, unless it’s by a pretty badge bunny, and the security industry has more then its fair share of badge polishers. This not withstanding, while working in the private sector [Steele Foundation, Personal Protective Services, and Bay Area Public Safety] I have had the opportunity and privilege of working with some of the finest, most dedicated, and professional individuals in my careers. Sadly to say, this does not hold true with some of my law enforcement colleagues. The deal is that private security officers do, and will continue, to aid law enforcement in ways most law enforcement personnel will never notice. So, the next time you deal with a private security officer, "Want-A-Be's" excluded, you should thank them for a job well done. Because without them, you might be the one assigned to check the door knobs of the local Wal-Mart store during your next patrol, instead of doing real law enforcement work looking for bad guys. Food for thought. |

| Posted 5 months ago Where's the key to the thread lock? All that is necessary for evil to succeed is that good men do nothing. If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck and walks like a duck, then it may be a troll doing an impression of a duck. |
