Posted 5 months ago Hi all. I'm retired from the L.A. County Sheriff's Dept. I now work as a threat/risk management consultant and am also a small arms ID expert. I also teach Civil Air Patrol cadets rifle skills. I managed to escape from SoCal and am living in the relatively saner environs of the Pacific NW. I'm a Vietnam vet, a competition shooter, hiker, hunter, and am a strong advocate of proper nutrition and physical conditioning, even at my age. In the field you have to be better than your opponent...or else. You'll be retired someday and old age is something ya want to hit as strong as you can because it ain't for sissies<grin>. . I have three grown kids with degrees who are solid professionals and taxpayers, one of whom is a Major in the US Army Special Forces. I am highly impressed with the professional level of this site and have enjoyed my tour around it so far. I have submitted my creds for verification by FAX and email earlier today.
