That name Robert Meuller sounds familiar.  Ok thats why he actually is the director of the FBI.  Report this email to the FBI via this link http://www.ic3.gov/ .  I'm sure they have gotten this obvious fraud attempt but you can always make sure.  The FbI would never contact you by email about anything that I can think of.

That is a new low of scammers. I've seen dozens and this is one of the worst. I think that Director Mueller has spell check too.

Give me a break.

Those emails are all B/S, its just a different spin on the 419 scam.  Report them and delete them.

That email is a verified scam. If you look closely at the header information it may even point back to an African country. Simply delete and don't reply!  Here is a sample of the "419 Scam": http://www.snopes.com/crime/fraud/nigeria.asp

Yeah, I've won the Nigeria lottery, the UK lottery, I've been notified as

next of kin to people who would like to share my supposedly inherited millions. I have had one guy ask if he could channel funds through my bank account before. I just hit the "DELETE" button. My concern was getting a virus or worm in my computer, or identity theft. If someone actually wins let me know, I need to borrow some(ha).

yeah.....I'm pretty confident that he does have spellcheck, though I doubt that he needs it as badly as the author of this crap.

Hey Redrover,

You couldn't have won both of those lotteries, because I did. I think you're just trying to scam in on MY money.  (reality check) Nobody has ever actually won nor are they the long, long lost surviving (whatever) of someone. what a major scam.

Nigeria is the single most noted source of these internet scams. I e-mail them back with somewhat less than proper english, stating just what I think of their scams. Ive never recieved an answer, hummmmmmmm?

I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU. THIS IS LIKE THAT NIGERIAN 914 FRAUD SCAM. ***ANYBODY*** WHO ASKS FOR MONEY "UPFRONT" IS NOT LEGIT. SOMEONE "TRIED" TO SCAM *ME* OUTTA MONEY; BUT I NATURALLY TOLD MY HUSBAND (COP) AND HE "TOOK CARE OF IT". I HATE PEOPLE THAT ATTEMPT TO EXTORT MONEY OUT OF OTHERS. THEY SHOULD BE SHOT ON SIGHT!

I AM 100% PRO LAW ENFORCEMENT...JUST ASK MY HUSBAND! :-)

These morons need to pay attention to the little details.  Having a telephone number is a nice touch except that the area code is in the state of Washington (Seattle area) and not Washington D.C.area.  I have reported these idots to the real FBI and the Seceret Service.  The next knock on their door may not be the Avon lady calling.

What is really of more value to people who are investigating this type of email scam is the "header" information on the original email. It can be used to track where the email originated.

I got an email saying it was from the FBI  and from the Director Robert Mueller.  2nd time.  It said it was an inheritance but I would be arrested for laundering money into the US if I didn't respond in 2 days.  I ended up faxing a copy to the FBI in Boston MA for them to have on file with the many other scam emails they said they have.  The FBI in Washington said to delete it because they don't use emails like that and it's a scam.
