My favorite is the National Bowhunter Magazine.  It's an archery magazine that Doug Walker started over 50 years ago when he was working with/for Fred Bear.  It is absolutely awesome because it's mostly stories from hunters like us and only a little "expert" knowledge.  I have had two stories published and have two more pending.  If I can do it, ya'll can too.  I love to read and try to read every hunting and gun magazine I can and this is far and away my favorite!  It's also cheap!  You can subscribe for $12/year and sign up a buddy for $6/year.  Doug and his family run it and you can talk to him if you need to.  He's not out of touch and too famous to talk to whoever needs to chat with him.  He and his family are good people!  Check it out at www.nationalbowhunter.net.  Also, I recommend buying Doug's book (Let's Go Bowhunting).  It's a great read and it's only $10 when you subscribe.  He autograph's it for you too.  I have one and I bought one for my son when I last subscribed.  He's 12 and he read it cover to cover.  He's hooked on hunting for sure now.  By the way, I sound like an advertisement but I promise that I get absolutely nothing from Doug for this and I do not work for the magazine.  I just want to share/recommend a great magazine from a great friend to all hunters!  Be Safe!!  --B
