Posted 2 months ago I hear alot of people saying P.O.S.T as the police officer training and licensing agency. In Oklahoma it is called C.L.E.E.T (council on law enforcement education and training). I was just wondering if the term POST is what its called every where or just the general term. If its different where you are let me know, just curious. |

| Posted 2 months ago NYPD Lt. -
That's a bit scary, isn't it. One officer of one department is trained completely different than another just 10-20 miles away. Think that's why many states went with a state sanctioned and approved set of standards. Trained equally. Is it working well for you there in New York.?

| Posted 2 months ago In New York you have DCJS (Department of Criminal Justice Services). Every Officer in New York has to be certified meeting the requirements of the New York State Municiple Police Training Council (M.P.T.C.). Most departments have to meet M.P.T.C. requirements.
