Posted 4 months ago My name's Candi. I'm in the Army Reserves as an MP. My unit is in Joplin, MO. I'm just trying to get ahead in the law enforcement world and figured there's no harm in being able to talk to cops and get more information. I'm too young right now to even apply but when I get back from Iraq it's one of the first things I'm doing. I leave for Iraq in either September or October. |

| Posted 4 months ago Welcome to PoliceLink Candi. You are doing something that was unthinkable when I was in the Army. There was only the "Womens Army Corps" or "WACS" and they were seperate female units who only were assigned the jobs that were typically relegated to women. When I went on the Police Dept. after my service, we had one female Officer who was designated "Police Woman". She only handled matters that pertained to the female gender. Today, young women have all the same opportunities that the men do and have excelled in all but a very few male dominated pursuits. Best of luck to you, we are very proud of our young people who, like you, rise above the few who make the news and make all of our youth look bad.
