I'm betting if you research previous threads, this issue has been repeatedly addressed. If you don't stand behind our troops, feel free to stand in front of them. |

| Posted 2 months ago Hey, a guy in my state just got busted for banging cows so nothing would surprise me anymore. Yes, once I HAD TO lock up a guy I went through the academy with from another agency. It was not a pleasant thing to do and I hope I never have to do it again. It was mandatory and I am just gonna leave it at that but it is an awful experience. Police work- the greatest show on earth and my team always wins!!! |

| Posted 2 months ago Agreed it is a horrible experience. "It is a capital mistake to theorize before one has data. Insensibly, one begins to twist facts to suit theories instead of theories to suit facts" Sherlock Homles |

| Posted 2 months ago It would cause you more problems if you told than it would your partner. It would be better to confront him face to face besides going above to a supervisor! |

I hope not only didn't you tell on him, I hope you didn't tell him either because nothing is better than going to a call and the guy next to you having the ole' barn door open while talking to the victim

SNORT! We had about a year here where every pair of uniform pants we got issued had a faulty zipper. Most of us walked around like that unintentionally until we learned to check the damn things every time we got out of the cars...sorry off topic but that made me remember that.... If you don't stand behind our troops, feel free to stand in front of them. |

Yes, all of those also, but in reality, how many of us do you think really do those kinds of things?? That would take ALL of the Pride, Integrity, and Guts, (PIG) that we all cherish so much, and toss that saying out the window. The only "dirty" cop I ever met in my career so far was dirty because he was making a bust on a rural farm and slipped in a pile of cow crap. I of course had to LMAO!!! Never have a camera when you need one, and he was a higher up!!! :-) I'm certainly glad you know the Chief of Police Sir!! At least you know somebody that can post your bail!!!! |

| Posted 2 months ago sticky subject no one likes to think about it. I hope to never have to go 10-15 with an LEO. But if I have to then I have to. I reject your reality and submit my own. |

| Posted 2 months ago oldsple is pretty focused on this subject specifically because of PSDiver's "pride, integrity, guts" point. Regretably he and I have been in an area of small depts where we all know each other and are painted with the same bad rep when someone craps on the values they are supposed to uphold. Cops should not be drug dealers. Cops should not be thieves. Cops should not use their badge and the reputation good officers try to live up to, as shields for felonious pursuits. If they do those things, they're not cops. The good they might do doesn't come close to balancing the bad. Sorry if you long timers have hashed this all out before, but the pride should only be because of the second two traits (IMHO).

Besides, its much too cold in Canada for that. I think you'd notice right away.
