Hi everyone! I’m a newbie to the site and it was suggested to me that I introduce myself, so here I go :) I am a single mother of two. I am putting myself through a modular police academy and doing great with it. I live in my home town, but I don’t think this is where I want to stay. I hope to find a department to work for in the next 6 months or so. I am finally in a place in my life where I can make my dreams come true and I am SO excited to be doing that! When I was 13 I joined the police explorers. Before that I had never had any kind of interactions with law enforcement. I fell in love with everything I was doing at the department! I quickly moved up the ranks and ended up running the post as the lieutenant. In 2000 they hired me as a community service officer. I was assigned to an officer, who was basically my FTO, and worked his shift with him until 2001. I had plans to go to the academy in 2002, but ended up moving to Utah. I am back in my home town now and can’t wait to get back into an agency! I’m on week 12 of the academy and 2nd in my class. I have been through a lot in my life, though I am only 26, and I can’t wait to use my life experiences to help those in the community I work for! I look forward to getting to know you all! :) |
