Posted 6 months ago Here is the respectful letter that I sent to Senator Obama voicing my disgust of the placement of Porta-Potties on the Police Officers' Memorial in Portland, Oregon. I hope that you will forward like letters if you are in agreement. Thanks for reading.
Dear Senator Barack Obama,
With all of the respect that a man of your position deserves, I must voice my disgust over the Port-a-Potties placement at the law Enforcement Officers' Memorial in Portland, Oregon. I have been a police officer for over 17 years and I find that this incident to be very disrespectful to the officers that the memorial represents. I am appalled.
Of all people, an elected official like you should be cognizant of what the sacrifices are within the law enforcement community. We are the ones that uphold the laws that you pass, even when we don’t like to. Our families suffer from low wages, stress, high divorce rates, high numbers of suicide and many of us lose our lives to the hands evil. The one thing that we hold onto is the gratitude of the people that we serve. A memorial represents that gratitude.
Someone on your staff made a very poor decision in the placement of public restrooms. That person represents you, only you and no one else. You Sir, have dishonored, desecrated and defiled a place of honor for the fallen police officers of which it represents and all of the law enforcement officers throughout the Nation that we serve. I have heard the excuse that it was because of wheelchair accessibility. I am sure that someone with a little foresight could have made better arrangements I will not and cannot morally accept an apology.

What do you expect from an individual that has served this country only 134 DAYS in his political career as a Senator. He and his staff has got to laughing all the way to the bank, as to how easy it is to lead the US citizens via their nose to his Presidency......................... |

| Posted 6 months ago My opinion has, and always will be, that if you want to be the President, you should be a soldier first. I don't care if they went to war or not, but just be in the boots of the working class...be in the mud, sweat a bit and then learn a little about yourself and the people who you want to lead. Imagine if we went to a society that mandates citizenship through public service? No governement benifits or right to vote unless you served your country or community in some form or way...that way when you sh*t on the working class man (like putting porta-potties on a police memorial site) you feel the impact in your own gut.
But of course, that will never happen

This madness has to stop! To dishonor our fallen Brethern should be a call to arms of every LEO in the USA and Canada!! They gave ALL!!!! And now their memories apparently mean nothing to a man who wants to be the leader of "the free world!" Bull Sh_T!!! I'm certainly glad you know the Chief of Police Sir!!
