Just curious as to what you have to wear to work, post pic of you in uniform, or just the uniform. I'll start first...

Hey JD....you posted the wrong picture.  Where is the uniform?

JD...In case you are wondering.  The picture below is a good example of a police uniform.

I especially like the way his ammo pouch is sideways and facing to the rear, I see a reload nightmare coming. And it's handy that he has adapted a seat organizer to be a wall organizer, this may start a trend we can take down all the shelves and cabinets at our post.

Given his size and shape that is how his magazines should be carried.  If they were straight up and down they would dig into his liquid barley storage facility, if they were facing the other way he would not be able to get a proper grasp on the magazine.  What does a SG put into a seat organizer anyhow, never mind this is a public site and I probably don't want to know.  It has to be on the wall because it couldn't be modified to fit the golf cart.

THIS is the required vest when I'm assigned to ONE particular account.  It's meant as a deterrent to foreign shipworkers who are meant to stay aboard their vessel when they don't have a visa.  That's it.  The rest of the time, I wear standard class A.

And he's the guy that wears that security guard badge on his belt in and out of work or around his neck.

And why in the world is he wearing a tac vest with all those rifle magazine pouches?

They evidently make good "HoHo" and "DingDong" holders.  Notice the blue tooth earpiece?  Around here when someone wears one of those all the time he is called a "BlueDouche".

Perhaps we have been a little harsh.  I feel guilty.  You know they do almost the same job as us, right?  We should be ashamed!  Same team Farva!!!!

Well, I'd certainly be deterred if I was a foriegn shipworker. In fact...... oh hell, nevermind.

They told (us) to open up the Embassy, or "we'll blow you away." And then they looked up and saw the Marines on the roof with these really big guns, and they said in Somali, "Igaralli ahow," which means "Excuse me, I didn't mean it, my mistake".

And we are suppose to believe that a vest full of empty pouches is intimidating? And what's with the purple badge chain? If you want to be intimidating loose the tac vest and purple cord and start carrying an axe handle or riot baton.

As for the Jersey and jeans, This is very comfortable But you are right it is not a class A. To KSP494, The reason I wear my mag pouch like that is because i am a big guy and this is the most comfortable way for me to wear it. I have practiced several times pulling a mag out and reloading,I have no problems getting one out and into my gun. As far as them being worn sideways, almost all police and security around here wear them that way, just not backwards like me.

As for the seat organizer, yeah I know its weird but that one was not my idea.

(Note to self, this thread is not going as planned probably should stick to the same old questions) LOL.

it's not so much that the mag pouch is sideways that's mostly preference, the issue is that you have it opening to the back.....big mistake you should really consider having it open to the front and practicing that way.

To KSP494, I used to wear them like that, and wore them that way until a partner said I should try it the other way. I did and found it more convieniant. But if their is a real danger to wear them like this that I havent discovered, please tell and I will go back the other way. i assume you have more experiance than me and I am always open to positive critisizm

It's more of a speed and number of movements to reload when seconds count can you really afford the extra time, and when your pulling them back and then forward again you have things that can get in the way as opposed to straight out and up it's faster, smoother, and nothing in the way but hey that's just me. Just something to think about. I'm not neccessarily an EXPERT but been doing it since 1991 and spent a few years on SRT. on KSP they are straight up and down always, but I understand your dilema there, I just lost about 40 pounds myself and my pouches are bent slightly forward.

hey i get the mag puches digging into the gut, im a big guy (even at 17), so when i am shooting comp. i have to keep my pants higher than usual, my pistol is comfy tho, and the pouches bending forwards, do you have to use soft/leather/nylon? i use the BlackHawk mag holders, they are hard and low pro, you may want to look into em. if you want, next time im in my shooting/range gear i can post a pic (don't have my pistol here tho, so my holster will be empty)

My hang up on mags forward would be I could not index the magazine and have a hold of it at the base. I carry mine in a open top. When I grab a spare the base is in the palm of my hand and my index finger either touches or nearly touches the first round.  I can reload faster and more effectly in that manner.  Anyone can touch their index finger to their pinky in the dark.  Try reloading in the dark if you are holding the mag like a snickers bar.  It is hard to get the mag into the weapon, it would be even harder if there is incoming fire.
